Update:
So I talked to my Toyota dealer again. They would have to look at the car before they could order any parts. They admitted they have no experience with the GR Supra, and they would also have to order the special tools needed to change the pulley. They expected it would take about 4...
Interesting. And your is a 2020 as well.
Crank pulley with part number 13740-WAA02 for 2020 models have been discontinued and replaced with 13740-WAA04.
Talked to my local Toyota dealer today. They could look at it next week.
Anyway, I fired up the car today. Cold engine and components, there was no sign of slipping.
Heated up the engine and it was still good. No noises or anything.
I will take it for a test run later when the weather gets...
Yeah, I'm calling Toyota tomorrow. Even if the car is tuned, a part like this should just not fail after only 11k miles.
If I can't get it replaced by warranty, I guess I'll just order a ATI Super Damper.
Still is strange, it's like the pulley disintegrated from the rubber on the harmonic...
Went on a 30 min drive with a couple of 5th gear pulls. When I got back and parked at my garage I started to hear a mechanical clunck noise, almost sounded like heavy rod knock. But the sound was coming from front of the engine. Almost gave me a heart attack. The sound disappeared when shutting...
How does the manifold sit against the engine cylinder head? If you tighten it with all the bolts (but not that rear bracket) would it sit properly with a tight seal against the head?
Looks great! I'm trying to source some HT12 myself. Either Biltema or any of the other local shops have it in stock, so I have to get it from a BMW dealership in the next town.
Any problems fitting the coolant hoses back of the manifold?
Picked it up from my supplier today. Hope to get it installed next weekend.
This is the standard version, and not the MERA.
I also got the fuel rail, as I plan to go port injection when Protuningfreaks drops their Rev2 board on the market.
Do88 don't have the fuel lines needed for the fuel...
Labor day! Spent my day off cleaning the engine bay and fitting the carbon covers.
I found the 3M tape on the cooling and middle radiator cover to be quite bad. It would not stick properly, even when heated up. So I used velcro instead! Actually worked out real good, and makes it much easier to...
Put in an order on one a couple a weeks ago.
Do88 was having a spring sale campaign with 20% off all items, so I couldn't let that opportunity pass.
Should have it here this or next week I hope.
Spring time has finally come. Less than 2 weeks ago we had 4 inches of snow and freezing temperatures in my area.
Did a quick wash to remove all the dust from storage. Ordered a bunch of detailing products that I hope to arrive this week.
On Black Week, I bought some carbon underhood goodies...
