I believe the HS is now only sold in Japan. The CT is reported to be kill off after its life-cycle and will be replaced by a small hybrid CUV.

^If they don't give the LC a new drivetrain/a more affordable entry level model; than I think sales will drop and it will be on the chopping block like with the SC430.
I also hope they learn from past mistakes. While on topic about the CT and HS; I feel they would have both done better if a non hybrid base model was offered. And a 4 cylinder turbo HS-F and CT-F would have been nice. ;)

Cayman S, good benchmark, but perhaps a little lower on outright performance than most people were thinking? Certainly bang on for vehicle dynamics though. :D

that's a Spec-A car, so that should be the turbo 4cyl unless they are still developing the lower powered 6cyl.

after a conversation I had earlier, im starting to think they bumped the 4cyl power up to 280hp +/-

I can see the LC dropping in price very soon. my prediction is the TTv6 would go in the LC if possible during a refresh and priced dropped to LS500 level. Then the TTV8 would take the space of the current V8 LC price wise. And the LCF would be a more Powerful version of the TTV8.

Is there an outward visual difference between the Specs right now?

yeah, headlight and tailights are the easiest way.

the Spec-A should also have floating calipers on at least the rear (I was told all corners, but one of the mules has floating on only the rear), as where Spec-B has fixed on all fours.

based on sales figures and the actual cost to produce the car, I hope that ends up being the case because right now the car is what like $100k and the LC-F is rumored to be 150k +/-

I always numb my hopes and dreams though because business just doesnt go purely according to logic or wants.

I don't think most people who can afford a 6 figure car really care about value...hell, BMW can charge $150 K for their i8 with a 4 banger (I know, mid engine + phv but still)

^People that buy 6 figure cars care about image. Lexus IMO still isn't as prestige as the Germans. i8 sales are pretty bad, a lot of them are collecting dust at the dealerships. It's a well known fact on Bimmerpost.

right, they care about image and sure, lexus may not have the same pedigree as the germans in many people's eyes, but it still doesn't mean they need to price their products lower. if anything, keeping it higher will just make such cars like the lc more exclusive which indirectly adds to their prestige & image
