Here's sir Jackie socializing with the crowd. I got him to sign my ticket:

Let's see if I can post today baby F-1 race to get the crowd warmed up. I thought I had completely destroyed my hearing when I was a teenager going right up front of all rock concerts...well, I could only take a couple of minutes of this without plugging my ears! Turn the volume up! Click on image below to go to the video:

Note the fins under side of the tail. I think they are to create a vortex to pull the air stream above more down (creating kind of a suction...?):

Above is a plain base platform being taken in for assembly.

Yes, I talked with one of the corner workers/safety guys and non of the excuses I've heard so far makes any sense. Lewis didn't have tire issues, if he did, his lap times would have shown it. The only rumor I have heard that made any sense was that the family of a certain Nico is very close to a certain prince of Monaco!

Appeared to just be a poor strategy decision, made no sense whatsoever, except for conspiracy theorists. To me it seemed more like hubris with Mercedes thinking they could make a pit stop in their short window, just to have freshened tires for the sake of it, perhaps to show off. Or it could be that the strategy guys were just too eager to make themselves look useful.

Lewis claims to have followed the order to pit based on the erroneous understanding that the cars behind him had recently pitted and were on fresh tires. Perhaps this explained in his mind why he had a ~20 second gap.

I believe that he was ordered. But he was in the lead by a mile! With less than a handful of laps remaining, and maintaining his lap times (not increasing) he didn't need tires unless his were shredded which they were not. I like conspiracy theories anyway... A lot more interesting! We will never know even if it was an honest mistake!
