i think it looks cheesy on the ZR1 because it was so small. however i like the size and the look on the FT1.

Might have been so small on ZR1 because of crash safety requirements? But yea I'd rather not have a clear window at all if it's not going to be big. And with the Supra already being a smaller car than the FT-1 concept I doubt it'd be a very big window, especially if it can't take up a significant portion of the hood due to crash standards.

yes, all the mirrors look good on the current Lexus lineup, GT86, MK4 Supra, 3rd gen MR2, LFA, etc...but BMW doesn't really think so.
i would even say the ones on the new Camry look pretty nice. heck if Toyota cheapens out i would rather see these being used rather than BMW mirrors.

if it does become really small like the ZR1; than i would also prefer a regular hood.

So ... who wants to throw out a reasonable guess as to when we'll see the actual car?

The extended brace into the cabin does look cool though.

But it blocks the view - I really like the 86 mirrors and lot of clear view around the A-pillar. That extended brace would be there for design sake, not purposeful - I say leave it off then.

Personally, I like this render more than the one in the OP.

This one looks too much like a FRS and doesn't look as expensive as the one above.

not at all...neither of those renders share any body lines, design cues or profile with a GT86..heck the 86 looks lower everywhere if you compare their profiles..I agree if the first render in your post had the nose + bumper of the FT1, somewhat like what the more accepted render (the 2nd one in your post) has, then it would be a better looking design.

I like big rear ends and I cannot lie.
edit:

Has Autoweek compensated you yet for the use of your renderings? :)
