I think people need to just get over the whole Toyota using BMW's engine part. There are tons of very expensive cars out there that use engines from Mercedes, BMW, GM, and etc.

Yeah, but a shorter wheelbase and worst, more of an overhang. :(
That Supra profile better be way off base - the front overhang looks horrible. The one at the rear ain't so great either.

I suspect there is still quite a bit of padding etc. under the camo that extends the overhangs. There certainly is on the rear "shoulders", as shown in a photo I posted somewhere on here.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are fake front and rear bumpers on the prototype. But it wouldn't really add that much length to the overhang.

The MK4 had tons of overhang as well.

It will be longer than an 86 in overall length, with a shorter wheelbase. So, just imagine an 86 with more overhang.

I have no problems with the FT-1 or a new model having a BMW engine or BMW parts. I’m just not too enthusiastic about a new “Supra” having a BMW engine or parts.

Regardless, expect the BMW cocky drivers to start their “see, even the venerable Supra now has a BMW engine” shenanigans.

This is going to be interesting....very interesting indeed. I still say the chassis will be shared with BMW, but the drivetrains will be different on both cars....each from their own manufacturers.
