@BrettS That makes sense! I read on a Toyota Community Manager's Instagram to look out on Oct 2 in response to a question regarding the sales date! I wonder how much cash one would have to hand over?
I can't wait to see the MKV in its entirety in a frozen color, it will really show off those curves! Too bad I wouldn't be able to afford the upkeep of the chips and scratches on a frozen color if I daily mine... might have to do a full body clear bra:spaz:
Big thanks to @Guff for making these in the production colors!
Crimson Red
Mediterranean Blue
White
Atacama Yellow
Frozen Grey
Black
Grey front & Silver rear
Not a production color, but here is RSP.
Watch his Insta story too. He is answering questions on there/also gives us a better look at the driving position.
Edit: I asked him for info on weight/power, he said it won't be released until the final production car is unveiled. His response can be seen in his story.
It looks like we might be seeing some more info/updates in early October! This is coming from a Toyota GB Community Manager-
In the comments: "Keep an eye out on 2nd October for an update dude!"
I just read in a post on insta by a gentleman claiming to be a Toyota GB community manager to look out for something on October 2, that's why I was wondering... how much knowledge would someone like that have on Supra updates?
Once the car is revealed and members start taking delivery there will be project threads, classifieds, technical threads etc... I don't think this forum will be less active by any means. You'll certainly see my MKV on here:thumbsup:
You're right. Back on topic. @Nurburgring I read an article yesterday about a gentleman recording the times of the mid-engine C8 mule with a stopwatch. He wouldn't give up the time though as he knew it was far off of what it should have been. My question for you is when manufacturers are...
I never said that was production spec, A70 said that was the prototype testing early on. I'll be a firm believer until I hear otherwise. If you have any valuable information that you'd like to share then please be my guest. I get it, in the end, this is all hearsay but I'll believe credible...
If the prototype Supra was weighing just under 3000lbs with 350hp and running a 3.8 0-60 as A70 stated, then I donāt see why it couldnāt run the Ring 5-10 seconds quicker than the Z4. After all, lap times really do depend on weight, suspension setup, and the driver.
There are definitely aftermarket exhaust options that will use the factory exhaust valve. The stock exhaust valve actuators can be reused and depending on the driving mode the car is in/under high-load conditions the flaps will fully open up just like the stock exhaust. Now we just have to...
Agreed. I'd assume they're benchmarking the base model MKV to the TTS? That would be a more viable comparison. The top tier MKV should definitely give the TTRS a run for its money.
