I totally get it and I often pass them on the right too. The only reason I asked and I really hope this doesn’t become an issue for you but I could see a possibility the trucking company’s insurer may try to deny liability because passing on the right is illegal.

Just use a small, black, pink, green, purple, yellow, red, orange, lavender, burnt sienna zip tie to secure it. Whatever color you’re feeling at the time. No biggie.

Also, doing it yourself is more about knowing it was done correctly and not wasting half a day (or more) fooling with something that can be done in your own garage in 20 minutes. The money saved is just a bonus.
