So at this point I'm assuming the GRMN Supra will be a version of the M2. Possible manual option (quantity limited by BMW most likely) given that BMW got 2 cars out of this project. The M2 will most likely be out before the GRMN if it plays out like the Z4/ GR release
They're probably waiting until the Z is released to see what they have to work with in terms of specs and price. Although some earlier rumors suggested the GRMN model may not find its way to the US market if sales for the GR model weren't what they expected but yeah I see a DCT in that model and...
Seems to be the verdict everyone comes to once they see it in person...I wonder what other car went thru this recently :hmm:
Might be a reskinned 350/370 but so long as the chassis is improved (which rumors are it is), new proven engine is in there, a manual option, and cost is kept down; I am...
Some of us know exactly what you're referring to, the FT-1 concept transition to MKV production form (the vents, side profile, front end, etc.). The rear + hips are still dope. This is not including the BMW parts/involvement, which then brings the whole car into the controversial conversation.
^ Agreed. Timing hasn't always been their strong suit and always arrive late after they hype is gone. Another example: where's the LC-F we were suppose to see 2 years ago now?!?
Having owned a few Lexus IS of my own in the past, I'm glad they're coming out with the IS500 but not super stoked...
Digging the new Frontier. The Pathfinder doesn't look all that bad either. That grey Z in the back looks to be the production possibly. The wheels on it look more like a stock production ready wheel (although the ones on the proto are sweet). Plus no carbon fiber lip or side skirts like the...
Just been staying low key, needed time to recover from certain disappointments. This thread did catch my interest enough to post about it. Hopefully Nissan brings something exciting to the table
Nissan can definitely make an impact in the sports car world and inside their company with this car. If they price this in the $34-36k starting price tag with a 400+HP/TQ V6 TT engine and offer a manual 6 speed option, they will have a winner in their hands IMO. Toyota has their story of why...
^ I remember reading somewhere that you'd be able to mount an aftermarket spoiler to this car with ease since it will have pre-drilled holes or something along those lines.
^ I agree with as careful as Toyota has been with this project for the past few years, I have my suspicion that this was left behind in a conference room or w/e. Maybe another tactic to get input on what possible buyers would be willing to pay with the rumored specs.
Let's not get too ahead of ourselves. This could still hold true given we do not know the final specs nor price of the car. Exterior looks wise, not bad at all.
I'd have to see it in person and drive it but I think I'd agree. Which one has to assume the same will be done when comparing the Supra and Cayman. At the end of the day one is a Porsche and the others a Toyota/BMW. The ones that can afford a Porsche will most likely end up with one over these 2...
That's what it was...thanks for clarifying that for me. So many articles, rumors, threads through out the many years. It's just all starting to blend together and hard to keep track of.
