It's also TX2k this week. It's possible that he's backed up trying to get things done for that. Many of the tuners and shops are swamped around this time normally because of it.

So my advice is 1) drive the car (carefully). If a manufactured vehicle can't handle the elements, there's a bigger problem and 2) if you're going to drive in the salt i would actually avoid the rinse when it's still fluctuating temps (this was advice given to me long ago).

Unpopular opinion possibly, but I really don't understand this. Why sirens a bunch of money on a vehicle, for it to sit for literal years?? I'm not saying it should have 200k on it, but not even 10k miles...

Saw a couple of threads that all looked like the dealer has to be the one to do the calibration. I can't imagine it would have any impact on your unlock. Doesn't sound like there's any ECU work that needs to be done, but that's just my take from the limited research that I've done.
