Hello everyone,

In Hungary we are limited to pump gas mostly, 98RON, 100RON, and some places 102RON, but let's just say US 93 octane. I'm planning to upgrade my turbo to the Pure800 and I'm wondering if upgrading the HPFP would result in any gains on pump gas. As far as I'm aware the low to mid 500whp numbers were due to the octane limit, not fueling capacity. However, I read other threads by Pure turbos that the TU pump compared to the regular B58 pump aided big gains even only on 93 octane. If I upgraded the TU pump to lets say a Dorch Stage 2 when it releases for The Supra, would I be able to achieve higher numbers than the current low to mid 500whp numbers we are seeing on pump gas?

Been fighting with pump fuel limit on my Pure800 for 6 months

Anything over 500whp and it will be at the limit. I added methanol injection to squeeze more hp..

HPFP will add nothing.. It's octane limited at this stage

That's what I was thinking but after reading what Pure turbos was saying I wasn't sure.

Visconti will be releasing a plug and play port injection system soon and you will have ALL the fueling in the world. You will need nothing else

How would port injection help on 93 octane?

Sounds like a waste of money unless you switch to ethanol. Even with port what's the potential for for 93oct (safely)? I thought most people were maxing out the pure800 before hitting a wall with the hpfp.
I will not push her on 93 octane.. Just to find a way around the limits I am hitting now even at 550whp.. For power I could always have an ethanol tune ;)

I've heard from a tuner that the fuel pump is maxed out even on 93 with a Pure 800.

that is ideal but there really isn't a way for me to get ethanol.

Running 93oct on the stock HPFP, you will reach Octane limits prior to reaching the HPFP limit. now if you add ethanol, that limit will hit sooner.

How much would he increase timing to make that statement true? I'd be careful using a tuner making that claim..
