good effort in order to keep the vent design from the ft1 but I still find it odd that it isn't blended into the door even if it is fake..but if it is indeed bolted on and removable then think you're right about this being specifically to help with widebody kit fitment.

e. now that i think about it, perhaps it will be akin to the 86's swappable fender garnish

indeed, pretty sure all the vents will be fake but just like on the 86 i'm sure many folks will find a way to remove the inner trim pieces to open them up for more airflow
Yes the hood and rear bumper should be pretty easy. But to get the side intake by the door to work I would imagine that one would have to cut a hole into the back of the door and into the wheel well also.

I also just noticed, whilst we're talking about the vent/trim piece.
This Supra does not have a frame less window...
I really thought it would have.
Just nit-picky stuff there. No huge deal though lol :drive:

I was wondering this myself, then I looked up the RCF GT3 vs the RCF and I realized that the Lexan windows need a frame to be rigid. The production car will be frameless.

It probably is, but at least the door doesn't look plain like the Z4. I know some aren't happy with the panel line or gap, but thats nothing a little bondo can't fix.

Got this scanned photo from my friend who’s on vacation in Japan. Can anybody translate the front cover? Thanks

is seriously no one going to talk about how the vent on this render would explain many things??

Because it doesn't look accurate. The door on both the concept and prototypes extends much farther back.
I was thinking that if you removed that "weird vent panel" on the door, then it would just have the vent starting directly behind the door panel. it could make sense. just a thought.
