@A70TTR SZ-R is a 30i 4 cylinder, or a 6?

now that this information has apparently been dispersed to marketing teams worldwide, some of the new info circulating is as follows (subject to change but unlikely):

SZ - 4cyl
SZ-R - 6cyl, 3070lbs
RZ - 6 cyl 3350lbs

starting price for SZ still appears to be $40,000USD
Good stuff! Thanks for sharing! This definitely contradicts bimmerpost's insider where they said there will be two 4 cyl and only one 6 cyl.

300lbs difference between the SZ-R and RZ seems like a lot. I cant imagine it being from just luxery items alone. Maybe extra turbos or different transmission?

I think the argument is something like this:

Accountants/forecasters: zOMG, we need the 4cyl to appeal to green customers and those that want good mpg...

The rest of Toyota: Dear God, no, I will do anything in my power to keep that and the Gazoo name off our shores.
Damn bean counters always ruining everything for us. Besides, Toyota already has something for those type of people. Its called a Prius, aka tampon on wheels.

300 pounds extra...possibly an electric motor? I forget if that's been debunked or not.

Seems like there will be a NA motor. Then they are offering a turbo version ~300lbs extra.
I dont think electric motor with batteries will be 300 lbs. It should be more.

They are all turbo, but I'm thinking that RZ better have 380+ hp. I expect the SZ-R to be lower power like 335...

There is some conflicting info outside of my sources that say the SZ-R is a 250hp 4cyl turbo and that SZ is a 185hp 4cyl, but that makes zero sense to me for two reasons. Why design a Supra, with such intent on 6cyl, test said 6cyl forever in the 3070lb car, and then release two 4cyl models?

My guess, the SZ-R will be an N/A 6 or lower tuned aluminim block (or higher tuned 4) and the RZ will be an iron block turbo. Also add on extra safety features and so on for being the top model. (Bigger diff, other stuff) and you'll find your 300 lbs easily.

Maybe thats the answer, Jeff... 4cyl, B58, and then the iron block motor in the RZ

So the good car that we want is at the R0Z, which means a lot of stripping will need to be done huh...

This is my general idea as well. I'll try to dig on this.
