I was originally impressed with what the car was capable of and had a plan to buy one. As time went on, we started getting an influx of rumors (often incorrect) from the US side of the pond and I started to lose interest fast, but now that I'm aware of what many of the cars specs and capabilities are I am back in the mindset of wanting to pick one up.

The trouble for me is whether I want one in Japan or if I want a US model. I think I might buy one of the upgraded Japanese market cars (the 86 had a few of these and they were always better IMO, albeit more money).

that said, I have been debating on how to approach meets/gatherings, and it's a tough question because I'd like for people to know it's me for conversation purposes, but that could also pose a bit of a risk for several reasons. I might just have to be there as just another guy unfortunately, but there would likely be clues.
Can you just wear a hat with "A70" on ...

Iā€™m not certain where this information came from (maybe one of the un-official articles online?), but is there any truth to the 0-60 supposedly being 3.8 - 4.0 seconds? Kind of a blatant question, so itā€™s all good if you canā€™t answer.

Used to do 0-60 in ~3.8s in mule form. Hopefully it still does that.

I was literally just looking at the GT4 specs, and thatā€™s what prompted me to ask haha. But seriously, even 4.0s is impressive

Well, the production car is a different animal, so we will have to wait and see.

Remember though that apparently the Z4 does 4.4 0-60 and that's the underpowered EU spec.

True. So considering the US model will hopefully have the 380hp, and will also be lighter than the Z4, 4.0s should be a reality. Do you happen to know what the Z4 weighs?

and you mentioned that since you left, the car has been testing with more power yeah?

Assuming the 0-60 in 3.9s was with 350hp, 3060lbs?

So 380-400hp with 3100lbs should be comparable?

I've heard the Z4 is 1500kg or so.
