Fact: we don’t know how much the Supra will weigh.
Fact: the Z4 is right around 3,400 pounds

Using logic can we all agree the Supra won’t weigh under 3,200 pounds at minimum? (I’m being generous here)

Can we all agree that the 4 cylinder Supra won’t be under 3,000 pounds? I think you see where I am going with this.

If a base Cayman is 3,050lbs, my guess the 4cyl Supra will be between 3,100-3,200, it doesn’t leave much room for the i6 to be under 3,300.

My point? Let’s stop saying the i6 Supra is right around the 3,000 mark because this guy said that and that guy said this. Just getting annoying. I’m annoyed at myself for having to post this in the first place.

You're right. Back on topic. @Nurburgring I read an article yesterday about a gentleman recording the times of the mid-engine C8 mule with a stopwatch. He wouldn't give up the time though as he knew it was far off of what it should have been. My question for you is when manufacturers are doing their own timed runs, how different are the cars they're using compared to production spec (regarding tires, suspension, and weight savings)?
That totally depends on how far into development the car is. For the Supra I would not expect major changes from current spec to final production. I understand the C8 is on an earlier phase so we could see significant improvements; also we do not know which version they were testing, if the base model is doing 7:40 the top version will probably look into breaking the 7 minute barrier (as they tried with the current ZR1 but did not achieve it).

I say a base C8 lapping 7:35-45 would make great company/benchmark for the Supra in terms of similarities. Also might stop some keyboard warriors saying why get Supra when I can get (Insert hp monster/luxury car) at the same price?

Though, the zora has my interest. Looks insane.

The Z4 is not 1,500kg. Don’t participate if you can’t keep up.
BMW Z4 (E89 Roadster) sDrive35i 306ch = 1600kg
Bmw website for the first edition said the new z4 have a weight optimization
It’s impossible nore than 1550kg perhaps between 1450-1550kg

Zora is apparently set for 2019 release

Considering the fact that you've scoffed at what has been posted here, surely you must have a good idea about it
I don’t know if I should laugh or cry...... you’re fucking with me right?

Does anybody have an idea what the pricing would be?

I am thinking lowest trim will be 47k.
