I doubt it but, you think they'd let us lease in the first year? I feel like it would be a nice alternative to lease the auto until a manual is put out there and then actually buy the manual car. Open to opinions :feedback:

So I decided to throw some emails to a couple more dealerships to see if any of them knew any more about it or were actually taking deposits.

Good morning Brett,

As of this moment we know exactly two things about the new Supra: jack and sh*t. With that said, If you'd like to give us money, we'll happily take it. While you're here we hope you'll take the time to explore some of Toyota's exciting new offerings that are available now. Perhaps lease a a Camry to tide you over until the Supra arrives?

In any event, your $1,000 deposit will go towards knocking down our expected dealer markup. Let us know.

Regards

Canadians enjoy a lot consumer protections that don't exist in the USA. Dealerships here will try to sell you your own hat if you make the mistake of letting go of it.

For any Aussies out there...

Word on the street for 2019 is only 300 units for Oceania, and Toyota Au are concerned about people buying the first cars just to flip on the private market for a profit.

The rumour is that you will 'apply' to buy one and Toyota judge whether you're an enthusiast, and whether you'll be given the option to purchase.

Interesting.
