Fact check: this car would get its rear diffuser kicked by any Camaro SS, Stang GT, or Dodge SRT8. Even a C5 Vette would beat it in a stock-for-stock drag race.
BUT 3JZ, BRO! SUPRA AMIRITE!
But I will say, they don't need a single pitch to get me to buy it.
If I could afford it.
I think you might be in for a surprise. I know I was :D

Power-to-weight ratios always work.
How much did we say this car weighs? I took a swing at 3300 pounds.

We wish, man.
If it's not 3300 pounds/1500kg, then how much does it actually weigh?

But that's not the point. Lighter is better.
The weight of the turbo model, please.

"But Toyota might not have to borrow from others for long.

Tada, who is chief engineer at Gazoo Racing, said the division is currently developing several of its own sporty engines for production cars. Tada declined to give further details, such as whether the engines are all-new powerplants or simply retuned versions of existing ones.

But he suggested electrification might play into the plans."

So far, everything my source has told me has been true....everything! I have no reason to believe the remaining "things" won't be true either.

As for the development of its own engines, all I can say is pay close attention to the race car they will be unveiling at the auto show. I am told there will be "hints" of what's to come ;).

I will have a MKV Supra "eventually" :D.

I don't doubt you considering unless Toyota gave you a lot of hush money to lower your criticism of its upcoming car, SOMETHING must have caught your attention to make you 180.

All fingers are pointing to that release in Tokyo Auto salon. Exciting times are ahead. :)
