Maybe. But in Germany the Z4 first edition was orange, not grey. And he said “dark grey”. Sounds like a different color than the Z4 is available with.
Ah you’re right. I got those two mixed up

Photos are forbidden at these kinds of events
Of course it is. But often enough some guys don’t care about that, take some pics and load them up. The hope dies last.

I forgot to tell you that the Supra my dealer was sitting inside had red colored leather seats. I can imagine how awesome it must been looking in combination with a matte dark grey outside.

And while I like that matte grey I wouldn’t choose it because of its very high price and need to care for.
Here's hoping to something as mean as this color!

If the first edition is orange, then what do you call the Z4 in grey...launch edition? What are the differences?

In Germany and other countries the Z4 is available as a “First Edition”. That’s a special you can only order on the Z4 M40i and if you choose that, nearby every single option is included. So the “frozen orange” is, but it’s the only color for the “first edition”. If you don’t want that, you can’t buy the “first edition”. Of course you can build your own Z4 however you want and even “all in” with frozen grey. But this would never be a “first edition”.

He told me that there was a strict embargo on cameras and smartphones when they were presenting the A90.

He said it looks a little different to the renders we already know, but it’s damn looking good and high quality.
Were phones and cams taken from people before they were allowed to see the car?

Did he elaborate? I'm just curious, because a lot of the newest renders were made from the prototypes. So I'm just wonder how they could be off. Unless the pre-production cars didn't have final little items such as switchgear/shifter, wheels and mirrors? :dunno:

That’s exactly what they did. Phones and Cames were collected and they used scanners to find hidden electronics. That is what he told me.

After the Supra event they showed all new Toyota’s together, but without the Supra. This time they were allowed to take pictures.

The launch edition Supra is also fully loaded with all options, FYI. Not sure on color, but I think it will likely only be available in one color as well...

(at least in the U.S.)

Will be the same in Europe. If it really is the frozen (dark) grey one with red leather seats, it will look awesome indeed! But if every option is included, I also have to pay for things I don’t need (electrical seats for instance).

I found a picture where the frozen grey is to be seen on a Supra. I guess it is the same like the Z4 is available with.
