My boner is no more.

Willing to pay a bit higher for Performance spec.

EDIT: YO, to justify a $65,000 price, this car better be 3,300 lbs or LESS.
EDIT 2: I want 3,200 lbs pls.

Price is as expected and the Supra will be a little higher around 68K (my guess). I think the bigger issue will be the ADM that dealers will tack on.
Why do you think the Supra will cost more? I thought the general consensus was that it would be priced lower.

I would hope so and even offer a base model w/out any options to keep the cost even lower would be great. That's how the GT86 was offered in Japan. Unfortunately, under Scion and the U.S, it was never offered.

I'm only assuming since it's starting MSRP and the price can go up once packages start getting added. If Toyota is planning to offer 2 versions, they could cherry pick and bundle the packages on the I6 turbo version.

*MSRP including destination & handling charges. Pricing for vehicle shown may not include any or all options

Try to bring the Porsche to the same equipment level and the difference will be much higher.
oh im aware. my old supervisor went in to look at a "$90k" 911. left with like $15k worth of added on options lol.

supra will be around 55k usd
most likely, for example the price differences between the 2 series coupe and convertible is like $5.8k. apply that to the Z4 vs Supra and we get $57,900. and like others have said, the Supra will most likely come less equipped vs its BMW counterpart.

I think people also need to factor in inflation. The top tier Z4 would be $69,910 in today's money.
Those things sold like molasses. This car looks better but what's the point of repeating the same mistakes? A cayman S is 69k and won't suffer from depreciation that much.

It's almost as if they expect the Z4 M40i to sit in the show room for 300+ days at least, so they make the margins so high on it they only need to move a few to justify its existence. at 65K you open up serious competition for performance where the M40i was never intended to compete with.

50-65K is a huge spread, if the base supra can start below 55k it might still have traction. if the base is over 60K then i don't see it lasting more than 4 model years tbh. Then again, these were never meant to be high volume cars anyways.
