Clearly Toyota is aiming for the new Supra to compete with the M4 type cars, and I would also expect it to be cheaper then a Lexus RC F - in Australia RC F is $150K - so it will be interesting to see where Toyota will position this model. Can't see this being a natural progression for the 86 owners though, based on the top range 86 being $38k-$40k.

BMW M2 Pure is $100K though, and I'd struggle justifying buying Toyota over this little terrier with a manual 6spd.
I've been told 80K for entry (drive away) AUD..... and upto 90K AUD for upper spec... 2 specs apparently... so 80K and 90K lol

logically, using amortization of tooling and R&D split onto 2 vehicles, hence twice the market and sales (rather than just a Z4 or a Supra trying to make up for the engineering/production volume)... both companies can afford to sell the cars at around 50-60K AUD... maybe 70K AUD depending on exchange rates... but the marketing and segmentation will add $$$ on top...

so between a RC350 and a RCF.... for Toyota... and BMW to price it around M2 or just under for the normal Z4 as a "companion" for M2 owners or M3 owners as a convertible alternative so around 80K AUD.... and a jacked up M-badged Z4 at around 105K

It’s all speculation. No one knows. A70 has mentioned 55k but others say 60k+ really no one knows until Toyota comes out and says it’s price.

Thank you. The reason why I asking to you guys is he is working in race team(I don't know what specific though. Just around LA california.) so I thought it little more credibility to me.

I've been told $55k for a long time, but ultimately local markets set their own prices and it can vary for other reasons too (tariffs, options, etc).

It's a guessing game.

Speculation on the specs, but...

350 hp
369lb tq
3289lbs

...On paper @ 55k, that doesn’t look too impressive. What are you hiding, Toyota?! Tell me!

Toyota Says Supra Price Will Be Limited And 'Acceptable'

We'll remain cautiously optimistic until actual pricing is revealed.
The new Toyota Supra is coming. Boy is it coming, and Toyota is facing a double-edged sword. The hype for this long-awaited sports car is off the scale on a level we haven’t seen in a very long time, if ever. That’s good; excitement for a new model is always good, but with high expectation comes an equally high risk if the car falls short of expectations.

In a recent interview with GoAuto.com.au, Toyota – rather candidly we might add – talks about this pressure, including the Supra’s price. Unfortunately, the company doesn’t spill the beans on specific cost. However, Toyota Supra Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada does talk about the pressure to keep pricing down.

“The segment for this Supra is very competitive, there are so many other competitors as you know in this segment,” he said, according to GoAuto.com.au. “So, to compete with that, it has to be so much more fun than its competitors. So, it’s a lot of pressure, and that’s why we have to limit the price as well.” Additionally, Tada said the Supra’s price would be “acceptable for Toyota fans.”

What does “acceptable” actually mean? We recently reported on leaked pricing info for the new BMW Z4, which we all know uses the same bones and driveline as the new Supra. The figures in that report push the Bimmer well into the $60,000 range, and while it’s highly unlikely Toyota will dish up a similar sticker for the Supra, even something a little less pricey could still be much higher than people expect.

Tada’s comments on competition, however, suggest the Supra could indeed be kept within reach of the masses. A new Nissan 370Z starts around $30,000, while the Ford Mustang GT – presently the best-selling sports car in the world – starts at $35,000. Higher up the scale, a new Chevrolet Corvettestarts at $56,000. It would make sense for Toyota to benchmark all these cars, and while it seems quite unlikely the Supra will dip into the $30,000 range, somewhere between the Corvette and Mustang might not be out of the question.

Obviously that’s all kinds of speculation on our part, and you know there will be dealer surcharges due to demand regardless of what Toyota says it should cost. The new Supra will debut in just a few weeks at the Detroit Auto Show, but official pricing is likely months away.
