Live in Detroit - no chance to touch or sit inside

You all can’t imagine how disappointed I am. Came the long way from Germany to see and feel the Supra, but alle cars in here are not able to touch, sit inside, see the cockpit or anything else. What a pity!

Anyone else in here feeling the same way. Can’t believe it.

Hmm What AM I driving?
Sorry to hear, usually they only let the media, important employees (Tada-san etc.), and VIP into the vehicles on auto show public days. The only day it's really open is on private screening for invites or the first/second day of the auto show for filming. This usually changes as time goes on and the model become older (example the 86 and Lexus RC etc.) I'm sure you'll have a better chance to get in it after it goes on sale.

But that’s the point. How should I order that car with never ever sitting inside before? Absolutely no go. I know Auto Shows since many years, hab visited the IAA in Frankfurt for at least 8 times. Never had such issue. Now I do travel around the world, having a payed option on this car but don’t be VIP enough for a single minute to sit inside.

Unacceptable.

Sorry to hear that but if that's the case wait until it goes on sale and order it then.Simple.Problem solved.

But i believe you will be able to see it and sit on an event in Germany somehow before sales officially begin.

Ask for the manager (or anyone higher than the spokesperson just standing next to the car) of the Toyota display and explain your situation to him/her - that you traveled all the way from Germany just to see and sit in the car because you will be ordering it.

If you request nicely they may open the car for you to sit in briefly. I’ve seen it happen and it’s worth a try.

But too late for one of the first 900 I’ve been registered for.

Yeah that sucks man, but hopefully you were able to enjoy the other cars at show. Also, enjoy Detroit while you're out there. If I remember correctly, I think the car will be at Geneva right? I'm not sure how far that is from your home town.

Don’t worry, it’s not your fault.

That's absurd, given they let wanker "youtubers" crawl over the car.

Get a gimbal mount and say you're with media?

The local au supra club will most likely get an invite to the Launch/track event down here - I'm still chatting to Toyota Australia head office. If you still haven't been able to sit in one, let me know and join us as a guest. You can drive one of my supras to the event if you like.

I like you have traveled from far. My past trips have included trips from the US to Japan this past October to chase this supposed unicorn. Today again I made my last journey from the west coast to Detroit to see this 21 year old car that we have been yearning for so long. All to be disappointed with the likes of a Bavarian Mule.
