I have a call into Stevinson Toyota West's new car manager, haven't heard back. Also spoke to a former co worker who sells there now, waiting to hear back from him

I went in Saturday, put the refundable 1000 deposit down but they won't commit to pricing. I was told that I was the #4 or 5 person on the list

Yea could say I'm cross-shopping. However, in my experience, dealers will rarely totally remove a markup, and any markup is too much for me to be willing to pay. So what I am saying is if they give me that spiel, I will just walk away from our current deal and go buy something else.
Same here or just keep what I have.

Milton Martin is where I bought my FRS from, and they treated me extremely well. The whole process took less than two hours and my friends who have worked there also enjoy it. I'm ordering once a manual releases in 2021, so I'm mainly just seeing who is the most professional during the release and asking about deposits, orders, etc. Milton Martin told me they weren't accepting deposits because nothing is final yet, which I understand. Beaver Toyota asked me to come in and discuss with their "sales manager" and try to work a deal, which I don't get. I'll be ordering my Limited Yellow 6Spd from Milton Martin as of now.
Just went to milton Martin and they told me 20-30k markup

3 dealerships in Bay Area, CA:

1.) $5K regular/$10K launch edition markup
2.) $10K regular/$20K launch edition markup
3.) $10K regular/$20K launch edition markup

For $10K more I'll just buy an M2 Competition.
For $20K more I'll just buy an M4.

I'll wait it out and see what pricing is like late 2019 early 2020.

West called me back and said they got 5 allocations, and 5 deposits. No discussion of price

Emailed a contact at Groove Toyota, they are saying that's impossible as allocations for ordering should appear in March, and no one has received allocations in the region.

Almost all dealers in the area told me the same thing as groove - no idea and that's why they're not taking money. I think the guys at Stevinson are probably just trying to create hype for the inevitable dealer surcharge.

It's really unfortunate they do this. I work for McDonald AG, and we don't ever do ADM. Even when the 17 R8 was released, we did sticker.

25 K - 30K dealer tax for a launch.. that's incredible but with the first one going for 2.1 million, expected
10 -15K for non launch model mass production model. You'd have to be a die hard supra fan or special kind of stupid to pay that.

Long time lurker of the forum. Thank you to all that have contributed. Lots of good knowledge and insight here.

Visited a local dealership soon after the reveal. I'm first on the waiting list and they would not accept a deposit at this time. Working with the General Manager. We've purchased a number of vehicles from this dealership over the last 20+ years.

Interesting. I spoke to a few Los Angeles dealerships. Some wouldn't say or didn't seem to know, 2 had waitlists and one indicated it would probably be 5-10k over.

I could maybe justify a markup on a launch edition, but there is no way I will pay over sticker for a regular Supra. Toyota is going to make plenty of them. I'll just wait.

My $1000 deposit is in also at MSRP.
Correction on this, dealership decided to add $7,000 "Market adjustment", before I got everything in writing. So avoid Steve Landers Toyota in Little Rock, AR. Obviously another dealership that can't keep their word.

Good news Is found another dealership and got the 3rd spot on the list there with documentation. Penske owned dealerships have a company policy against selling over msrp.
