That's awful nice of you. Will your offer to sell be for what you "invested" or will you be adding a "handling" or "broker's fee" charge to that figure?
If some idiot wants to part with more money, then that’s on them. That is the ethos of this car. I.e. paying more than what its worth!

I'm still confused as to why, if so many of you hate it, why you're here. You obviously care that the car isn't what you wanted it to be, but bitching about it isn't going to change what Toyota did, or the minds of us who do like the car.
Its a free therapy session to help them deal with the sudden and new feeling of inferiority they're feeling by no longer having the king of the hill model. Sorry that the MK4 isn't the latest and greatest anymore.

The fact you guys always have to bring a nearly 30 year old designed car into this is hilarious. Shame the new “supra” doesn’t compete with any modern Ferrari’s and competes with low spec Porsche’s rather than the top spec Porsche’s of the past.

Obviously the MKIV has had its day many years ago. Who cares? The fact you guys keep bringing it up just proves you have issues with it too.

Guess what also isn’t the “latest and greatest” The “Mk5 supra” it’s absoutely mediocre in every way

I don't know about any of you "fAnBoYs" but I only buy a car after reading the spec sheet, Jalopnik articles, and that one RealOEM parts list that says the car has a sunroof and no brakes. This is why I didn't buy the MKIV (only 280 or so puny horsepower at 3400lbs on paper because gentlemen agreement). "Test driving" or whatever is an industry myth, on paper is where everything counts. Also, the majority opinion of YouTube and Jalopnik commenters say it's bad and I can't really think for myself so I'll just go with the majority. Guess I'll angrily buy it to flip it even though it's going to fail for sure.

This is like any open forum. Love it or hate it, this is the place to for anything MKV.

I’ve already linked the numerous other car forums were there was more hate then love.

True. Just seems like people keep hashing over the same points.

It's just funny how these people are, it's like they own Supra name or if they are the offspring of the car

You like it? Buy it (if you can afford it), you don't? Then don't. Simple.

But, good thing they don't have half the brain I have, so I am quite amused, I'll be more amused when I see the type of crying on youtube videos where the mkv beats the mkiv.

I couldn't care less if the MK5 is mediocre, I'll enjoy it.

Whaa? 0-60 in 4.6 seconds? But MotorTrend told me the car did 0-60 in 5.4 seconds. Maybe I should've actually DRIVEN the car before getting up in arms about it.
You got me there ;)

I am waiting to drive it before I make any sort of definitive decision on it as a car. I don’t think it’s a bad car, not at all (overpriced though). But is it a bad supra? Absolutely

Come on man, that’s a weak reply, I have already listed not only in this thread but in others a long list of reasons why it’s not good enough. What do you mean “ReAl PoWeR”? It’s listed as 335, like all the other B58 engines, other than the Z4 and BMW have already stated it’s quicker.

I would even agree manual isn’t the biggest issue however it breaks no new ground at all. Unlike the previous generations before it.

It’s got mediocre performance and tech for a lot of money.
