But that is literally any car.
I understand that... i just think people here are thinking they are going to get a MKV OTD for <$50K

I don't think a single person thinks that. It is just a waste of time to add taxes when comparing it to other cars since the other cars have taxes as well.

I'm expecting to pay close on 60k for a launch edition. Maybe even up to 65k

...Although the Supra has substantially less power than the C7 Stingray, it puts its power down quite well at only 0.4 seconds slower at $7k less. I'm sure with a tune (which will cost less than $7k) the Supra will put up quite the competition for the Corvette. Consider putting in the $7k into modifications on the Supra (bringing it to the price of the Corvette), you're pretty much beating the Corvette. So Dollar for Dollar in the states, the base Supra is still the better buy given the maths.
For the sake of numbers, there's a $17k kit that brings the B58 to 1,000HP. Overall, this will bring an individual's overall cost to $67k for a 1,000HP A90. As said before, the ZR1 offers 755-HP for $120k...
It doesn't take much effort to buy a C7 for less than the price of a MkV though;

Granted its a little more money if you want a GS or some options.

For the price of BPU mods on a BMW you can almost stick a blower on the C7;

Size wise I don't see the advantage they are give or take the same weight and almost the same dimensions.

I know itā€™s something simple but the interior on the corvette is something else. I look at it and it screams supra. How chevrolet got there before Toyota I donā€™t know but if the interior on the MK5 looked like that I actually think that would convert me

Pretty sure they beat Toyota on the Mk4 as well. Hello 1990 Corvette;

Not direct linking that to save everyone's eyes LOL. Only thing really wrong on the MkV interior is that stupid tombstone screen on top of the dash. I wish they could motorize those like Cadillac had in the 2nd gen CTS-V screen.

I don't know, the only car I can think of that I would actually buy with a motorized screen is the A3-S3-RS3. Atleast it isn't like Mercedes screen, that thing is just hideos. Or the new Ford Explorer's, that one is even worse somehow.

You can't do motorized screens anymore... well you can but....
The NHTSA rolled out new guidelines for review video systems. To comply, the system must be able to display review video within 2 seconds after the vehicle is shifted into reverse. Right now, nobody makes a retractable screen that can deploy and display video that quickly. On some newer Audi models they have even gone in and disabled the feature with a software patch.

C7s are over hyped. My cousin had one and with less than 2000 miles had an engine failure. Every few thousand miles after that he went through 2 transmissions (auto) and 1 differential + another transmission. They only added the diff the last time because if a car under warranty gets the same issue 3 times they will provide a full refund.

Only way he was getting his money's worth back was through the same dealership on a Denali pick up. The 8 speed in that one is garbage as well as it keeps hunting for gears and jerks on everyshift.
