Hello everyone... excited to be here. I’ve been following the MKV for what seems to be years now and I’m happy the time has finally come to see real subject matter in this forum besides spy shots! Hoping for manual announcement, but I’m all in on attempting to get a Launch Edition.

I’ve driven a 2001 Lexus IS300, 2006 Acura TL, 2004 Infiniti G35, 2013 Nissan 370Z, 2016 Lexus IS300, and 2015 BMW M235i. Safe to say I’ve tried a little bit of everything, but it’s time to bring some heritage into the next one. Can’t wait to be part of the excitement. Cheers.

Two of my favorite ownerships shown below...

G'Day all,

Long time Supraforums member and supra owner since 2000. Have had 5 JZA80, currently own 2, one rebuilding for WTAC and another for Street fun.
Also have a Supercharged Vitz for daily duties, and an HDJ80 Landcruiser. Big Toyota guy!

Hey there,

My GF and I were looking for a project car together and tossed a bunch of ideas for a while on what car to get. We looked at a FDs, tossed around the idea of a Porsche, S2k, NSX, and everything in between. When the final release of the MKV came out we were certain this is the car we’re going to get.

She was in the 86 community and I’m from the Lexus community. I hope that this community will be a very nurturing community.
Here’s her widebody frs before she sold it and my IS350

Hello everyone,

I've been lurking on this forum for a long time. Finally decided to join after seeing the reveal of the A90. Definitely want to buy one in the near future, hoping for a manual option first and foremost. I've been a Toyota loyalist for a long time. Growing up my parents owned many Toyotas and it continued with me. I've had and driven other makes but still ended up with a yota. The cars I've owned were a first gen. Tundra, third gen. 4Runner, and now a Lexus RC 350 which will be trade bait for a Supra :).

Lurked the site for a good while. Just joined. Bought my '87 Mk3 new in December '86. Was in the Navy at the time and spent all of my reenlistment bonus on the car. Recently gave the car to my son-in-law. Has 127,000 miles on it. He is working on bringing her back to her glory.

I have my eyes set on the MkV and am 1st on the waiting list at a local dealer. Recently sold my Cayman S (not because of the MkV) so am ready to move into something else.

New to the forum, I'm openly declaring that I'm a fanboy of this car and am on a "list". Mostly a motorcycle guy, I've always gotten my performance "fix" from bikes. Cars have been transportation device for me. Till the new Supra unveiled last week, that is.... This car checks the boxes for me that I've always wanted in a car. I say this, because I've rotated through 20 bikes throughout the past 40+ years. It took that long to finally find my "forever" bikes. They are a Triumph Street Triple and a Honda 230L. Therefore, this car is going in the garage for good and will never leave. I'm that confident of it. Thanks for listening.

Hey, I'm Michael. Currently driving a (formerly supercharged) 86. Planning on selling it, and picking up the new Supra as soon as possible. Actually had the sales manager call me today. Think he thought I was just a tire kicker, instead of someone who's actually going to buy one. Apparently I'm first on their list, and I'll take it in whatever color they get in.

Hi all,

New to the Supra thread, not new to cars. Typically I bought older cars as I love to work on them: H1, S2000, M5, 650i, FBO 335i, a few Land Cruisers, etc...and they have already depreciated.

A buddy of mine, who works at a dealership, let me know he could get me a Supra if I wanted want as MSRP, that is all it took, I am #1 on the list.

As a child the Supra was an awesome car but way to expensive, the planets aligned in this case and I am eagerly awaiting my new ride.

Sold my M5 a few months ago and am ready for another quick car!

Looking forward to being a part of the forum.

Hi everyone!

I just joined this forum to gather some more information about the upcoming supra. Been shopping around to look for a second sports car that I can use as my primary race / track toy.

Looking forward in the upcoming months in possibly joining the ranks.
