Enough demand ? How will Toyota measure that, make an official poll? which, half the people voting will be people that won't buy either one...
I'm in Michigan, don't care too much for targa, but would be nice to see/have.

Tada-san says a lot of things. I don't know if I can take it at face value. He said M/T will come as well if there is enough demand. Well we demand both!
let's hope this is real: Is a manual transmission in the cards for the new Supra?

all this "it'll come soon, to those who wait". Well then I'm not buying it for at least another year then...

Correct. "Demand" to Toyota means sales (Finance, Lease, Pay full asking) of the regular GR Supras. Once that's secure, they MIGHT entertain us with a special edition or feature we've been crying for. I'm with you on waiting a year or two and seeing what's available.

Money talks and bulls*** walks. I'm more of a, "build it and they will come," type of guy, but I get Toyota's position. Sport car market ain't what it used to be.

Targa + 6 SPD = I'd actually consider buying one of these.
At this point I've mostly decided that I'd be happier in a car from the 70's to the 90's.... but I would absolutely have to buy a targa, 6spd MKV if it were available.

According to the Trunk design of the MKV, I highly doubt there will be Targa option. There is NO room to fit the top unless they redesign the Trunk. Also having a Targa that you store in your garage on those nice sunny days is pointless.

Manual targa and I’m sold! Let’s go Toyota!!

I’ll leave the hardtop targa roof at home, just give me a softtop rollout top for emergencies like the lambos and veyrons use.
