Interested in who's getting the Driver Assistance Package and who's not.
Why or why not?

Cons:
Will the front parking sensors make swapping a front bumper difficult/pricey/impossible?
...

Pros:
BSM would be helpful considering the small cockpit size and potentially large blind spots
...

Yep, put that on my request from my dealer. Can't order the car just yet from my dealer.

Yes I am. I have never had a car with active safety stuff, but have ridden/driven in cars that did. It has saved friends from accidents while I was riding with them, so I think it is a worthwhile addition.

As a UK first 300 order, I didn't get a choice. I'm assuming the car will be the full package.

Canadians donā€™t really get a choice either. All our cars will have it unless you ā€œspecialā€ order it without it

If I get the chance to put it in the car, yes.

I want it as long as it doesn't add weight. I'm not sure where the 120 extra pounds comes from between the Base and Premium USA cars, but it is significant. As someone else wrote here, in Canada, we have no choice; if we did, I'd be going for the equivalent of the US base car. I hear leather adds a decent amount of weight, and I guess the stereo too . I'm not sure what else accounts for the extra weight though. If the driver assist adds even more weight, I'd rather do without it.

Yes, will add it for sure. My dad is going to want to drive the car and he is in his 70's. Yikes.

I think the driver assist is just a few extra sensors/camera's, though. This shouldn't really add that much weight. Does anyone know? It's mostly electronics, no hard, heavy mechanical bits, I believe. I wouldn't think it would add more than 10 lbs?

If it will be reliable, why not...

Thatā€™s very good news! Age is just a number. I salute your dad for being a passionate enthhusiast of the Supra. Besides, this car is for any driver , regardless of age, who loves to drive.

Assuming I can pick what I want on my Launch edition as the dealer is telling me I want the driver assist mainly for the adaptive cruise control. My wife's Prius has it and I ready like that feature. I also think the parking sonar will come in handy as well. For 1195 extra, well worth the added cost in my opinion. You only live once, might as well go all out!

Yes, I went with it. Radar cruise is amazing for long road trips. Living in SoCal, freeway traffic is a way of life unfortunately.
