Yeah, not feeling that 50th edition scheme. Poor Z, it deserves better. The heritage edition was OK, but I think the standard, no sticker paint still looks the best.

Iā€™m honestly (pleasantly) surprised the Z34 is still on sale in 2019. It looks increasingly like Nissan will not replace it with a new Z35, so if the choice is between a Z34 or no Z at all on sale new, Iā€™m happy that Nissan still sell an attainable RWD sportscar for the masses. I just wish theyā€™d update the interior, particularly the instrument cluster and centre stack, those really date the car (they looked like something from 1999 even in 2009!).

This is the only Z I remember. Dont get me wrong, I dig some of the 240s and 260s but this 300, it's iconic.

Yep, 370Z is dead, long live (new) Fairlady Z. ;)

I know lots of people love to rag on the 370Zā€™s long production run, but that means there is plenty on the 2nd hand market, plenty of spare parts available, plenty of aftermarket support, and not many surprises - all the main reliability issues are well known and have solutions by now.

People forget long production runs used to be common with sportscars. The Lamborghini Countach was on sale for 16 years (74-90) the Ferrari Mondial for 13 years (80-93), and the original Honda NSX for 15 years (90-05). Bringing it back to Z cars, the Z32 (300ZX) was on sale for 11 years (89-00). So the 370Zā€™s long run is not unusual.

I quite like both Zs I owned. Iā€™m glad the new Z will be coming out and I look forward to seeing it (waaaaait for itā€¦.) in my rear view mirror.

but genuinely, Iā€™m both a Z fan and Supra fan.
