It'll basically look similar to the TRD version. I bet the aftermarket will make a smoother piece to contour the lines.

Hi. I see you're new here. Welcome!

The vents are fake. Can't be made functional without tearing the car apart. Here's an article:
https://jalopnik.com/i-just-dont-believe-what-the-toyota-supras-chief-engine-1831838527.

During the reviews event, Tada-san said you can make them functional but only if you cut holes and add your own ducting. I really wish he would just stop talking about it.
Interesting read.
The vents were one of the few positive things I found from his interview (too many negatives and question dodging), of course without doing my own investigations.
We'll have to wait and see how the aftermarket world approach with their R&D.

I found some more styling / design related photos. I'm a little surprised Toyota has not release a boat load of these yet, BMW did all of that on day one.

I like the it. Definitely looks more clean now.

Side rant: Taking away those awful huge BMW mirrors does make it look a lot sleeker as well.

I still don't understand this whole mirror issue. If we look at this with a purely realistic standpoint, the stupid (albeit pretty) mirrors on the FT-1 would make it impossible to see cars next to you.

It sounds nice in theory, but on paper it would suck every day having to strain to see cars, especially as we now know that the Supra's visibility is not the best. I would also argue that the mirrors likely look big simply because the car itself is very small.

I didn't say it had to have FT1 mirrors. They're huge, because they're huge. The new Supra isn't that small. It's only around 5 inches shorter than the old car. However, it's not too big of a deal for me, because they seem to be an easy fix. I wanna see if they are swappable with the E89.

Fwiw, the giant mirrors are pretty much the saving grace for visibility on this car. I don't think I'd change them out having used them. There's a reason they're black on the standard cars haha.

Not an easy fix. The base will be unique to the car, and the mirrors unique to the base. Take it from someone with Celica XX mirrors modified to fit a north American mk2, if they didn't make a base specifically for your chassis for the mirrors you want, it ain't happening. Little boy racer mirrors are doable, but good bye power adjustment.

I hope we get to see some of the rejected desings. I recall the MK4s guys really digging the front end of this one.
