Doug Demuro really disappointed me when he thought it was an oversight on a rushed product. I always though he knew what he was talking about because I didn't know any better on other cars. But after this I question everything he says.
lol, his comment was indeed the one confusing me. I couldn't for a second believe that Magna Steyr would do such a stupid mistake, but I'm like he was there, perhaps he was told so...

Awesome review! I prefer the turn signal with the amber within the taillight triangle :hmm:

Agreed, though I would trade the Euro turn signals for our louder USDM exhaust any day!

That being said, I hope converting to the Euro turn signals is an easy plug and play switch.

Yup, I know that trick. Several years back, my local 86 owner was doing it. Sadly, doesn't work on Supra.
You mean to tell me one of those 14 ways doesn't get the headrest far enough out of the way? LOL.

& here’s Z4 vs Supra comparison vid. I know, I know. “We don’t know Japanese.” So I did quick translation for you guys, pointing out the difference & common on Z4 & Supra.

Driving feel:

Supra & Z4 both have mature suspension setup.
Supra feel more rigid.
Z4 is convertible, so feel less rigid.
Supra’s cornering limit is very high. In the cornering, can directly feel front and rear traction, so it’s easy to feel the limit.
When Supra’s rear sliding (drifting) is very easy to control in the corner.
Even Supra is drifting, it keep you pushing forward & forward.
Z4 rear slip earlier than Supra in the corner, but it's not a bad feel.
Supra feel faster through the corner.
50kg weight difference, chassis difference makes the huge difference in the driving feel..

Sound:

Supra is couple, isn’t loud as Z4
When Z4 is opened, sound is direct and loud.
When Z4 is closed, sound is loud but a bit different.
*Rumor has it, BMW & Toyota were making different exhaust for each car, but Toyota did excellent job making the exhaust, BMW decided to go with Toyota exhaust.

Interior:

Z4 steering is thicker
Supra steering have luxury feel.

Thanks for the review

Is the passenger seat also power adjustable? If so, I assume it’s at least 6 way power adjustments, right?

Yes, it's power adjustable... I can't remember how many way power adjustment, but iirc it's same as driver side 14.

meh..

they act like they had to pull teeth to work with bmw for a "sports car" but come on, logically why the hell would they want to partner together...to make a crossover?...origin story for this supra is overdramatic & a stupid political dance compared to 86...

when they say the only recent sports car bmw made was M1, do they mean 1M..?....either way doesnt help bmw's case, 1 series went 0-60 as slow as 10 secs lol...

tada-san wanted people to hear exhaust....result = fake augmented in car engine sounds, love the way Carlos Lago cringed when he heard Tada-san mention this

how is the interior geared towards driver and not the passenger...?...that is stretching the "cockpit" style especially after MKIV's interior..hell, toyota put that stupid swoop on the driver's side! yes very driver centric..

ugh vents...i don't mind the fake vents but now im irked about how "easy" people are making it appear to make the vents functional...the one next the headlights is small, who cares if you can open it up and so is the one on the hood...the door vent is totally fake even though some people are pointing to it like people are actually going to drill into the door sill to open a hole to the rear wheels...and the one next the taillights is pointless too..

...and pure drivers car about the feel and not all about the numbers....yet no manual, still a very bad joke
