Congrats! Please be sure to give us your impression once you've driven it.
Thank you! It seems like every dealership will only get one car and some might not even get any. If this is the case, I might do an event in Virginia for folks nearby to see it when I take delivery.

You know if the June 22nd date is nation-wide Toyota corporate thing? Or is that just when that specific dealer is accepting orders?

Dealer said they'll start taking orders officially on June 22th. Apparently, unofficially I'd be 3rd in line.
Also I'm told that all dealers got 1 Launch edition allocated. (don't know how that works with limited 1500 number..)

I found a dealer doing MSRP for a Launch Edition with a $3k deposit. If for some reason I don't like the car I can get the $3k back when they sell it.

They gave me a pretty decent trade in offer and I like that I wouldn't have to pay taxes on the car due to the value of the trade in. I'd have to give up my trade at the end of the month though. It's not my daily driver so not a huge deal, but still there's the unknown of "when" the Supra will be delivered. I'd also hate to give up my current car and then not like the Supra. Tough choice here.

What are the chances of the first non-launch editions being marked up?

It's gonna depend on the dealership, qnd how much interest there is in them. If many people want them, they can be marked up because they'll sell.

My dealership already has at least two reserved spots for non-LE units; another dealership also has the same number. All the LE units are already spoken for for at least these two.

I spoke to 5 dealership in my area this morning. Two had no reserves and were willing to take my deposit for their first LE. Funny thing was that all 5 had the same mark up of 15k. Sounds like they got together and agreed on the mark up. Guess three future owners paid 85k + already- ouch.

holly hell, I like the car, but not that much! I'll go to the dealer in person today, if they offer me anything above $5K I'm holding off.

There's how much a dealership is going to mark them up for -- and then there's how much they'll actually sell for :) those don't always coincide.
