I truly don’t understand this?!? Look, there are cars I don’t like...mustangs, camaros, and vettes....since I don’t like them, I simply don’t go on their forums....

Obviously, this car isn’t up to your standards, ok then, move along. You aren’t gonna get much traction in a MKV forum, ripping on the car and insulting those who like it.

“Us ladies” will have fun. As for myself, I am on here because I love cars and am excited for the new Supra. If you aren’t, great, I am sure there are plenty of other forums for you to join.
I never said I didn't like the car as a whole or that I am not excited about it, I simply pointed out specific aspects I personally don't like myself. There are a lot of aspects I do like and planning on buying one, thus I joined the forums to share my thoughts. But apparently some ladies get their panties in a bunch when anything negative is said.

Most people would agree to that. Its when either side gets on their high horse of BS that problems start, why there is back and forth between the haters and lovers of the car, and why new people will continually come on here to hate or love the car.

The MkV already has a seriously dedicated fanboy base. It started before the car came out, before any of them had seen it, let alone driven, and are extremely sensitive to criticism. They came out and attacked the MkIV hard, they attacked anything that's remotely a competitor, and often unfairly layed into anyone who dare speak a single word about against it. Many of the hardcore fans seem to have some kind of obsession that the MKV is god-like, can do no wrong, and must be worshipped, or face the wraith of the followers. They don't see that there is no such thing as a perfect car, and that the MKV has valid criticisms like any other.

On the other hand, there has been a extreme amount of dislike for the car in the community, to much of it unfounded, too much of it unfair. Too many of the car community who have been brainwashed about what a "Supra" is, then selfishly felt let down, and attacked the MkV with an obsessive ridicule, when they had no basis nor enough information to give them the right to do so. So when those obessed fanboys tell them to "get f#ked" intially, they got their hands on valid criticisms and concerns of he MkV, weaponized the problems and pitched them against the MkV fanboy club, who as expected, refuse to recognise the car isnt perfect, and fire back with everything that have ... and well both sides sit on either side of the monkey pit throwing s#1t at each other.

Your never going to have a forum which only ever lays on piles of "glory-glory-hallelujah" to one car, that would things look more like a Nazism rally. Dissenters exist for every car, make and model exist, and people have aright to point out its problems, and this forum, intentional or not, is the front line for the discussion, good or bad about the car everyone is talking about.
Exactly.

While I'm sure some appreciate your opinions/perspective on the car, your opinions lose much of their validity when you descend into calling those that would disagree, "ladies". You have raised some valid points and have stirred some conversation. That's what the forum is all about. How boring would this place be if we all were in total agreement on everything.

You stated there are some aspects you do like. Considering those specifically, what is the one thing you are most impressed about?

We are never going to hear the end of it from MKV haters. ‍

Seen Canada's only MK5 2 weeks ago. Even the glass around the car does not have a "TOYOTA" stamp. I thought for sure if there was anything Toyota made it would have been that.

Is there anything Toyota on the "Toyota"?
You can give two bakers the same ingredients and they can make vastly different cookies. Sorry you don't like the recipe, youre welcome to eat some different ones

Prove me wrong or don't bother @me, like the times you've been proven wrong and wasted my time.

Find me stampings or markings on the car that says "Toshiba", "Denso", "Aisin" or "Toyota" like real current Toyota models do.
There is no fact to prove or disprove, your opinion doesn't set the law of the land regardless if you think it does

There seems to be a fact to prove wrong... Every component is made by BMW, accept for the Transmission?

Find me something that is produced by Toyota, or the said Japanese co-manufactures.
$500 cash if you can show me a statement or document where a car has to have Toyota parts to be a Supra. Literally a single one. Like only one. That's a lot of money for a MK3 owner

VIN number doesn't say "A90" or A91" in the first half of the lot. Pay up! #moneybymonday
Lol dawg that’s not even close to being a real reason. Sorry you’re upset about the BMW part, maybe some therapy would help since it’s been 6 years of knowing this
