Also, people need to get over the NoJZ
Unfortunately that is unlikely, as is the German connection. Those things will only matter to a few and will continue to be brought up. The rest of us have moved beyond those things to see what the car will become.

I'm damned excited to see what the new engine can do. I think it'll surprise everyone.

Still waiting to hear anything from the dealerships here in NC. May have to go by on saturday, once my circadian cycle is back to normal (working overnights this week).

Damn I like that yellow.

I don't think anyone here cares anymore about it not having a 2JZ or a bespoke Toyota engine. Most people have moved on from that. Only people who I see complaining still are dumbfvcks who will never own or drive the car on Youtube comments or dogsh!t garbage like Chris Harris/Doug Demuro. I mean sure, I don't think we will see 1500-2000hp builds with the A90 like we saw with the A80 2JZ. But for the 90% of people out there, the stock A90 is fast enough. I mean its a B58. You can easily push 600-700hp from it with bolt ons and a tune. You really don't need more power than that. Hell, I'd be happy with the stock hp. The A90 isn't designed to be a drag car, 1/2 mile, 1 mile, or highway roll racing monster like the previous A80 was. Sure the A80 was able to handle but you didn't see most people build them for that. They were all mostly built for drag racing, 1/2-1 mile top speed runs or highway roll racers. You rarely see a A80 Supra at an autocross event or trackday. Where I have a feeling the A90 will be huge in time attack and trackdays seeing how the car was designed for that...handling. And for that purpose, you don't need a 2000hp top end monster.

Beg to differ. I can smell both straight line builds and handling builds. Ik Toyota makes lot of questionable claims, especially with data coming out of media. Anywho, A90, as Tada claimed, is designed to be both stable and agile. Golden ratio, remember? Lots of reviews have pointed out, keyword here being that of "stable", "balanced", "quick", "playful" whatnot. However, my lack of faith also whispered me A90 is to be a versatile "all rounder" rather than "best of". I don't expect 6.5 quarter mile or record shattering untouchable podium on Pikes Peak, I expect A90 to be capable and competitve at both. 7.0 quarter mile and 3rd on Pikes Peak sort of speak.

Not to mention, 1500-2000hp 2JZ builds are really more scarce and legendary than they are reality. A stock bottom end wont survive more than a few dyno runs above 850whp. Beyond that you need pistons, main caps, cooling, rods, etc. Not to mention the head. Heat management becomes the biggest issue.

Prob is you cant just throw out legitimate and valid concerns because you don't like hearing them.
Saying someone is garbage or a dumbs#1t purely because you don't like what your hearing just gives them more fuel for the argument.

Doug, Chris and a handful of other reviewers have plenty of valid points.
If you don't agree, then either counter it with valid counter arguments, or if they are right - suck it up.

The MkV has flaws. Every car does - the perfect car doesn't exist, so any car review which doesn't point them out isn't a car review, its paid/sponsored advert, and in the case of the new supra, many reviewers have admitted receiving rewards for reviews, and indirectly producing sponsored content.

It frustrating as hell to watch car reviews which are tainted. The worst I saw was a MkV review a while back where they take an uneducated yet very attractive blonde, told her to do a review, and put her in an almost painted on tight green outfit. The whole thing was solely designed exploit the viewer, by assuming the product cant sell itself, and that we are all stupid enough to fall for the T'n'A marketing gimmick. She then went on to review the car and said nothing but "this car is sooo great", and couldn't point out a single a single flaw, and worst still she even begin directly insulting her industry colleagues who had concerns about the transmission.... "Little boys, whats your problem, your insecure"... this is coming from someone who's directly attempting to exploit and manipulate the viewer with her tits.

Yet despite the clear bias and almost certainly sponsored content, the ever growing cult of the MkV fanboy club gets behind her and talks as though this is the way all reviews should be, and retaliates with the 10 year old's answer of "anyone who doesn't agree is a dumbs#1t idiot looser who doesnt know anything."... all it serves to do is make doug and chris seem far more credible in their analysis. Much Like this new video below, which is well balanced, yet being hated up on by the MkV fanboy club because it doesn't spew out "all hail, glory, glory to the suuupra!!" in every sentence:

You say "It's frustrating as hell to watch car reviews that are tainted" but as usual, you are blind to the preconcieved negative bias that is also taints many reviews, and is clear in your own perspective, which makes you "un-objective", friend. Those who dismiss much of the Doug and Chris reviews do so because they recognize a negative bias in their review, in their tone, in the things they harp on, the things they are obsessed with, the same way you recognize certain things that cause you to categorize some reviews as being positively biased.

What rewards did reviewers recieve? What reviewers admitted to this? Provide some details please. Oh, are you speaking of the review trip many were provided by Toyota? This industry standard which nearly every automkaer engages in with new models to be reviewed? Do tell how what Toyota did was any differerent, please? If reviewers were positively biased by this, and it influenced their review, well this is only fair, as their same intial reviews of the M2, Corvette, Porches, and most other cars were influenced by the same treatment, and thus received whatever positive feelings this experience incurred on their review. The fact that some commentators such as yourself continue to harp on this, while ignoring this is standard practice, indicates a degree of desperation that is more indicative of bias than almost anything else.

I'd venture most reviewers came to the party like me, with no particular history with or preconception of the Supra, and just reviewed the car that was in front of them. These reviews tend to provide some of the history, and give details of the partnership, but then decide, you know what, it doesn't really matter. These are as objective as we will get, and these reviews are overwhelmingly positive. This allows me to interpret the negative criticisms in some kind of context. The most obvious example was the embarrasement of a comparison review by TopGear, where they contradicted themselves from comparison to comparison, in order to ensure their predetermined opinion, "the Supra is not worthy", was realized. If this is the sort of "objectivity" you desire, auto reviews become pointless.

You misogynistic, sexist piece of fucking shit. Girl on Swiss Roads actually knows her shit about cars and expressed her genuine opinion about the Supra. So since it was a positive review, are you going to shit on Guff and Redline Reviews as well? Fucking asshole. Way to target someone like that. Fuck outta here and don't come back with your attitude.

That asshat in this review didn't know anything because he didn't bother to properly review the Supra, nor was he invited either. Same goes for Chris Harris. He didn't actually review the god damn car. All he did was complain about the partnership and act like he was a purist for Toyota sports cars. Whereas before, that posh douchebag thinks he's the shit and actually has ZERO experience on Toyota sports cars, hence he has ZERO say either. Didn't you see his Twitter posts WHINING like the biggest spoiled brat about the car, and then, he BEGGED other people to not listen to Toyota and form their own opinions. Like what the fuck does that even supposed to mean? This was a CODEVELOPED CAR. This wasn't phoned in. And this is just the surface of things. How can people even begin to form their own opinions without the manufacturer having some sort of conference and meeting between all the journalists and the engineers, designers and project leaders? And literally EVERYONE shat on Chris Harris via Twitter and other social media outlets for acting like he was the shit, but in reality he's a pussy who has no say and is biased as fuck. He can stick to his expensive Aston Martins, Porsches, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and the occasional Alfa Romeos and BMWs. He literally ran with his tail between his legs and we never heard from him again regarding the Supra. Guess nobody wanted his opinion. ;) Even Matt Farah shat on him on his podcast and rightfully so. Matt Farah is one of the biggest Toyota/Lexus enthusiasts in the world and actually was quite positive. Hmmmm.

As for DeMuro, he's naturally biased as well. He makes very weird, sensationalist reviews (which is understandably why he has a large fanbase) in order to get people to continue watching even though he's wrong. Haven't you seen his reviews on let's say a Lexus LS for example. He immediately says things like, "It looks like a Camry but it's a LEXUS" or "This is just a gussied up and a lot more luxurious Camry but it isn't though" and this one, "This drives like a Camry, but it's ok". And if it was a sports car, he would be like, "THIS car is a car that comes from the SAME company that makes the Camry". Like bitch what the fuck cant a manufacturer diversify their lineup? And for christ's sake what's wrong with the Camry? It's a solid car. And literally almost every magazine outlet rates the Camry third behind the Accord and the Mazda 6. That's not bad.

Point is, constructive criticism about anything is good. But you were being a piece of shit over there regarding Girl on Swiss Roads and indirectly insulting other reviewers as well because it doesn't suit your opinion on what the car is.

After seeing these images over and over again, I still don't get the Carbon Fiber Mirror Cap option that is being listed.. All these cars have red caps. I suppose Carbon fiber parts are in the trunk or something?? Or as it's an option, will dealers get it later on ?¿
Do you think it could be an early listing for the TRD performance options for future orders (non LE models)?
