Toyota VIN decoding is irrelevant. A90 is made using BMW processes through and through, including VIN assignments.

WZ1: Manufacturer - you can interpret it as "Magna Steyr for Toyota".
DB4C: BMW typschlüsselnummer (type code) for Supra 40i is DB43. US market cars always get their "3" modified to "C".
Digit 8: equipment specification. All A90s have a "0" here.
Digit 9: checksum
Digit 10: Model year. L is 2020.
Digits 11-17 are called "the last seven" or "VIN7" in BMW world. Until literally two months ago they served as a unique identifier of every BMW ever made. The first character is plant code, W is for Magna-Steyr Graz. The rest is just a serial number issued in sequence starting with W020201 that was auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson.
What would you say about this A90 VIN YBCDB41010W023701?

Made in Belgium right?

Model year 0?

This is the VIN of an advertised Supra coming to a dealer in Michigan. What would the "AB" indicate? WZ1DB4C03LW27AB81

If a lower VIN is indicative of a lower plaque number, are any of you actively looking for lower VIN numbers in hopes of a low plaque number?

I have mine reserved with a down payment (refundable), but I suppose it won’t hurt to look around.

Update: Here is a list of the limited edition Supras by VIN (for US market) as of 6/24/19 (posted by @ynguldyn)

> LIST OF LE SUPRAS BY VIN (US)

Original post:

I've seen some people trying to decipher their LE commemorative plaque numbers based on the VIN they have gotten and this may help. Here are some Supra LE VIN #s that I've gathered from here or other sources and their corresponding colors

All these VIN numbers except for the last two are able to be entered as valid VIN#s and confirmed as Launch Editions with options installed on Toyota's website:
https://www.toyota.com/owners/my-vehicle/vehicle-specification

  1. wz1db4c00lw020220 - red (order date 3/19)
  2. wz1db4c00lw020265 - black (order date 3/19)
  3. wz1db4c04lw021399 - white (order date 5/19)
  4. wz1db4c05lw021489 - black
  5. wz1db4c07lw022157 - red (order date 5/19)
  6. wz1db4c01lw022168 - ?
  7. wz1db4c03lw022947 - ? (dealer advertised as red)

So starting from VIN# xxxxxxxxxxx20201 (the first Supra sold at auction) it seems like the limited editions were not produced sequentially. Let me know if anyone can crack the code based on this data!
I live on Guam and the local Toyota Dealer here claims they have a launch Edition but the vehicle does not have a Serialized Production # badge on the dashboard. According to the dealer the badges are applied at the dealership with US mainland dealerships. The vin of the vehicle does match a vin on the list you provided. Can anyone confirm there are launch Editions that are being sold without the serialized badge?
