@ynguldyn, will this be replacing the US spec Supra w/B58C, or will this be another trim level as some have suggested?

No. EUR is the catch-all designation. There are countries with their own requirements, all others are EUR. Japan is EUR for example.

These cars will be for the markets that don't use WLTP.
So every market will get it with the exception of the EU?

Not sure but I don't know how you can offer two performance trims with little differentiation otherwise.

Pretty much.

As with everything else in life, there will always be more power, more features, or more tech coming in the future - almost anything you buy is obsolete in some regards at the point of sale. I think sometimes you just gotta sit back and enjoy what you have man.

Anyone getting cold feet over a white LE let me know! I'll take it off your hands and give you the opportunity to get the B58d! Lol

BMW did the same with the E89.

Look at the entire BMW website. They are absolutely known for this. Even the M cars now have M regular and M competition and its an extra 20-35 hp. I wouldn't be surprised if the same happens to Toyota on this car. I also dont mind waiting for a more powerful version, or manual or whatever else might come in the next 1-3 years

BMW has two 2020 Z4 models already with the inline 6, 335hp in europe and 382hp elsewhere. Maybe toyota has a "382" model coming out but just needed more testing and decided to just sell the 335hp model now to get it to market.

Tada hinted that the Supra would get frequent updates/improvements to stay fresh and keep sales up, and I expect the 382HP engine is just one of those for 2021. I think there's an article somewhere that quotes him talking about this (even admitting that a higher power version was coming). Whether it rolls out across the line or is a new trim level is anyone's guess. If Toyota keeps pace with BMW's engine releases then there will be newer/better versions of the engine available quite often.
