So, what made you change your mind or come out of hibernation and start posting?
I've been posting all along just not on this forum. I think the question you wanted to ask is why didnt you come on here to say nice things about the car the forum was named after? Just curious I guess. We get some if you guys on supraforums pontificating about how this car embodies the new Toyota supra to the core, I humbly wanted to come here and disagree.

Again why is disagreement an issue?

Thanks

Matt

Disagreement is not the issue here, I don't think. It is more of an attitude issue.

What attitude? I'm simply stating opinion.

I would say these contain quite a bit of negative and snarky attitude with a non-factual basis.I would say these contain quite a bit of negative and snarky attitude with a non-factual basis.
You citied my reply regarding "i joined before you did" without the context of the member asking me if i just joined to make a negative remark. To answer his question i said i joined before you did indicating i didnt just join.

Listen if you can read attitude over text more power to you. I'm stating my opinion on the car like anyone else? Did you read my reply in which I said I like the car on paper? It's just the packaging and BMW horror show of reliability that bother me with Toyota getting into bed with them.

I think the car is a great car. I think it performs and does alot of things BMW owners have asked for out of the z4 platform. I would love to drive one given the opportunity. I just find "supra" enthusiasts accepting it as a Toyota product is a bit disingenuous.
People literally call it Zupra

Thanks for the question,

Next time comment to the quote outside of the quote tags and it will make your reply more substantial. Yeah I cant see calling it the zupra as that still has part of the supra name in it. I like rebodied z4 more.

That implies that the Z4 came first, you don't see people calling the Gen5 Camaro a rebodied GTO right?

Correct the original z4 came before the Toyota relabeled z4 yes. We are in agreement.

And the Supra came before the Z4, so is the Z4 a relabeled Supra?
In your sentence that is not reality yes.

In reality unfortunately the new supra is just a BMW. Thought we were making progress...

Definitely not. There are many more people bothered by it more then just me. I'm a Toyota supra fan to the core. I've always welcomed Toyota working hand in hand with other manufacturers like when they developed the last supra with Yamaha. I've been into these cars since 1992, I've owned many and was hopeful for a true successor to the mkiv. Toyota instead made a watered down version of a beautiful car labeled the ft1 and slapped some prepackaged frozen food isle BMW parts into a caricature of the ft1 design. Fake vents, fake scoops, intentionally left off parts for tuners to mod like sheep. Dunno, if you Haven't been a supra fan for a long time I dont see how you could be excited about this car. That's all. I didnt make fun of anyone here, i didnt call anyone names, i simply stated my opinion and i see this place is a true echo chamber for this car. A car i waited for a long time for and was let down hard by.

Again it's a cool car. It makes cool fart sounds and BMW pops on decel. Its decently quick and atleast has some cool curves. But let's not call it a supra...lets call it what the frs should have been.

I was referring to this forum, not others. And never posted or have an account on supraforums. I’m on Porsche, bmw, and Mercedes forums in the past.
