That may still have been a marketing move on toyotas part...I won't hold my breath on it. But man it would be nice. They are. Toyota is pulling a Nissan with their heritage parts for the mk3/4 I believe

I’ve heard it may just be for Japan though. That may still have been a marketing move on toyotas part...I won't hold my breath on it. But man it would be nice.
It was lovely to see all the different MkIV's zooming past the presenter towards the end. This car really reminds me of some other automotive legends in the past. I wish to have a Supra that hasn't been molested by people (with turbos that are overstressed to the moon and back, ugly aftermarket bodykits and antilag), but fuck me they're now pushing over 100k. It would be fire if you would have a stock MkIV and a MkV side by side but the way MkIV's are now being used, you can never find a good deal anymore for a stock Supra Turbo, or you're left with a car that someone else abused the shit out of it and threw it away to you.
I hear ya. I fought the urge to keep mine stock and even Factory wingless (since the early MKIV, the spoiler was an option) but eventually I caved in and made it BPU so it’s nothing crazy. It was lovely to see all the different MkIV's zooming past the presenter towards the end. Here's hoping they depreciate lol.
I see. I just like my cars stock tbh (and I only would do a tuned car if tuning is the best way to restore a car to greatness). But like seeing some tuners jacking off to their shitty MkIV's that they molested (like the engine, transmission, chassis interior etc.) to death makes me cringe. It's objectively ugly and hurts the car in terms of reliability. What's also shocking is that they demand high prices for their garbage.I hear ya. Have you ridden in a heavily modded car or a modded MKIV? It’s a memorizing feeling to hear the aftermarket turbo spool up and the brute power of being pushed into your seat from a built Supra or any car. Back in the day with having a 80 shot direct port then to a fully built bottom end T3/T4 turbo Integra GSR, it was what we did. As a young college kid on minimum salary, it seemed to me as a never ending money pit but instant gratification the moment I turned that key. Street racing in SoCal on a Sat night help fund that addiction. Pre FnF, the streets were very much alive and money was to be made. It was all underground until the movie exposed it and added their twist to it.I see. Don't get me wrong though, I definitely think tasteful modifications and tunes (like BPU's) are great. But some people just overdo it to the point that it just makes you want to puke. And those same guys think that the MkV is ugly which appals me LOL. They haven't taken a look at their own cars before they judge others.
I've owned 15 plus mkivs, had them bone stock, bpu, small single turbo, upgraded his twins, built motor large single turbo and all cars were amazing and had their own personality on the road. If they were modded correctly for the desired power level they are fine cars. Your statement sounds like it's more directed at the types if people that make poor decisions regarding how they drive or why rather than the car itself. You like stock stuff, cool for you. You like safe spaces so that makes sense. I like stock and 1200 hp cars the same and everything in between. At the end of the day anyone can mod or molest their car how they want, as long as they share a common interest in cars they are fine in my book, what can be broken can be fixed. Except some people...some people cannot be fixed.I see. I just like my cars stock tbh (and I only would do a tuned car if tuning is the best way to restore a car to greatness). To be honest. No I haven't. I would love to however. The thing is, I'm only concerned regarding reliability. So when I say that I have a dislike for overly modded cars is when they actually break. A lot of tuned MkIV's on the market have a lot of engine issues and they just sell it off to someone else so they don't have to deal with the costs of making the car run anymore. I tried my best not to mod the Supra but after hanging with the local Supra guys, I was instantly bitten by the mod bug again.
Haha that’s hilarious. I only cringe when drivers do stupid shit and crash their cars or grenade their engines. However, seeing a Supra 2 step, do a nice burnouts, do donuts with the BOV laughing away on IG is something I’ll watch on repeat. Weird huh. Lol
Do you base anything you say on fact? The statement alot of modded mkivs have engine issues is based on what real world knowledge? I've had very modded cars that have lots of miles and are dead reliable. Where do you gather you data? Or is is just cherry picked to make your post sound remotely accurate? To be honest. Something like Guff's is quite nice and tasteful. Point is, I don't mind it when something is tuned to the moon and back, but I don't want to be the one who spends all that cash if something happens to break. Like you said, there are a lot of stupid owners who break their cars or fuck up their engines, and they sell the car because they don't want to be responsible for the repairs again. Or else, I'm no different to you. I love seeing Supras with anti-lag doing mad burnouts or them blasting down the Nurburgring. It's all fun until you have to deal with the costs. Which is why I like to keep things stock or do BPU's.
A lot of sellers disclose if their cars have engine issues or not on the classifieds. And for those who didn't state anything and the car seems to be good (and I went to go see the car) they state there that the car has (for example) turbo issues. By the way, I never speak in absolutes unless I say so. So this doesn't apply to the majority of the population, but there are a lot of pos people who have no regard for other people's time (in the case of the second example), and the in the first example of people I mentioned, I just don't bother at all. This has been my personal experience and it has left a bad taste.Do you base anything you say on fact? The statement alot of modded mkivs have engine issues is based on what real world knowledge? agreed, they need to bring Toyota to need for speed heat also... it was in the last nfsStupid call to remove the MKIV Supra in the first place.
