Story of my last eight months. Buying such a great car shouldn't be such a terrible experience.
Don't give up! This C&D article said that once the 1500 LEs are sold then they will ship the 3.0s; can't be true. Folks in several dealerships got LEs and 3.0s and this trunk shows a yellow on the transport --- that's a 3.0. We will have our chance. If I miss the LE train, Yellow may be my target!

I have friends local to me that work at the Toyota dealership where 3 Supras were delivered yesterday and overhead they're pricing gouging at 85 and 90k total cost. One customer didn't even flinch at the new price, agreed, and then drove it off the lot.

That's all it takes. Someone with a bit too much money to care about pricing. Then, the next Toyota dealership hears about that sale, and they'll raise the price on their cars "to meet market demand."

Waiting is the best option for those without the contacts. Tbh I don't know who's to blame. The dealer for pricing it so high or the heavy spenders that agree to it.

After hearing all these horror stories of extreme mark ups Iā€™m sitting in a long line in Longo for a 3.0. Curious has anyone gotten theirs from Longo yet at MSRP without last minute price changes.

Also wondering for those financing through Toyota what kind of APR are you seeing? The website estimate puts it at a high 7%.

I plan to down pay most of the car and do a 36 mo with high credit score.

Good luck to those fighting for a day 1!

Check this, went to a local dealer to see it in person again. There was a blue premium and a black launch. Blue was already bought by someone. They marked them up at 98k and 99k. Was chatting with a friend there and saw the man who bought the blue.. it was my cousin! Small world! Big time mk4 guy, had a Baltic blue 94 TT 6 spd he sold in 2006. He was happy he walked outta there with his long lost friend for 69k lol. The blue is gorgeous. It looks purple at different angles in the sun. My second fav color behind TG. Also got a lil joy ride with him. My God, the car is amazing, sounds phenomenal and handles like a dream. Now I gotta see if I can beat his price at the same dealer for a turbulence gray premium in the very near future. :headbang:

Wow I've been going back and forth between white and blue....I think blue wins! Great pic
Honestly I would get blue myself if my cuz didn't get it lmao. I love the flakes within the paint, it changes hue at different angles. Makes for a long and curious stare at the car, which I like about colors like that.
I saw the white the same day. It's nice and clean, but not as interesting to look at like the blue. I think the darker colors with metallic really make this car something to stare at.
I would say this about the blue: it's a very subtle color, luxury, especially with the black interior. But when you drive it, it's an animal. A luxury, subtle looking beast. Such a wonderful combo.

I was able to finance through Toyota at 3.39%, but I also paid a premium over MSRP on the vehicle.

The loan term is 74 mo. I was able to get things as favorable as I could by showing other rates offered by other banks, and being prepared to use outside financing. Local credit unions may be an option.

Based on comparables, the Toyota 3.39/74 is very good. Navy is 3.99 for 72 (top tier).

Thatā€™s great news. I assume your tier 1 credit? Iā€™m going through Toyota financial and was told Iā€™m tier 1 picking up next week according to dealer daily

A good rule of thumb used to be 720+ is Tier 1 just for folks also wondering. Now, I've seen some places bump that number to 760.
