Went to a car meet tonight, and everyone lost their damned minds. It ended at 11, and I ended up not leaving until about 1230 because people wanted to take pictures of her.

I'll link those photos once they've uploaded them.

I also learned that she'll make huge smokey satisfying burnouts very easily. And I need to remember that run-flats aren't cheap

Is the supra on runflats??

That was never mentioned at the UK launch.

Also the wheels we have are different - think the US ones look better.

Nah pretty sure the wheels are the same fundamentally, just the US launch editions are painted black. The US standard cars are the same as UK cars and the A90 Edition gets the black wheels too.

They are not run-flats, but still expensive. BMW and Toyota developed these with Michelin especially for the cars, and all suspension tuning and certifications were done with these tires. They are slightly out of date compared to newer Michelin offerings, but still quite good. However, they are niche tires, so that will make them a bit more exclusive/expensive if you stay with OEM.

Good news is that size is somewhat standard, so there are other options that might be better and/or lower cost. Unlike one of my BMWs that rides on 21" wheels, which has limited choices and will cost $1600-1800 for new tires. I did not research that too well when deciding on 21" wheels. Had I gone 20", there would be much more selection and much better pricing.

That blue is so smooth, congratulations on your car! Got any mid day pics of her bathing in some sunlight? I would love to see the light dance on that blue paint. Such a great color on this thing.
