The manual says 1200 mile break-in period. Personally I will be putting amsoil in at the 1200 mile marker. I'm also worried about Toyota employee's "test driving" the car and not giving it a proper break-in.

I've always broken in a car the way I'm going to drive it. Both my Mini and 86. Neither had any issues, so I'm going to do the same for this one.

Just got back from the dealer to see my Supra. They told me they will only put on about 2km or 1.5 miles total.

yes ,showed up 8am this morning and they put it in the old scion showroom with ropes around it so nobody can sit in it .
Don't know how I'm gonna sleep from now till the 22.

Had to google it. This way is actually what was suggested when I went through the BMW program in college. Hasn't failed me since. Admittedly, extremely small sample size.

Dealer BS?

My car showed up this morning, dealer told me they still need 3 days just to program the GPS anyone else heard of this?

I know it takes some time (several hours) but it shouldn’t take 3 days. They’re probably just saying that so that they can keep the car in the showroom a while longer.

They are not lying. They have to get the Navigation code from Germany. It takes a while to wake the car up from transport mode.

Are you allowed to see the car while it is there? If yes, record the delivery mileage just in case!
