Launch Editions not yet released by Toyota

I thought it might be helpful to post any information in one place regarding why launch edition Supras are still being held by Toyota. It was one thing to wait for vehicles in port to be released around a common date (July 22?) but it is quite another thing to have vehicles held well after that date for "quality inspection", dash problems, seat problems or whatever else is going on. The lack of communication is extremely frustrating. Does anybody know what's up with these holds?

Unfortunately I don't have any info.
My LE is on hold in Chicago.

I questioned Toyota about where are the Launch Editions on a Facebook post about the new Supra.
This is what I got:
We are sorry to hear about your experience. At the dealership, we have an onsite Customer Relations Manager who oversees the various operations at the dealership and is put in the position to address concerns such as yours. We would certainly recommend contacting this representative and discussing the concern. You may also give us call at 800-331-4331 (Monday through Friday 7 am - 7 pm CST, Saturday 7 am - 4:30 pm) so we can make the dealership aware of the situation.

I'm sure that it's an embarassing and frustrating issue that involve multiple sides. I can spout off many nasty one-liners about the stop-sale but they wouldn't be helpful.
