I live in Texas and I have been pulled over with every cars I have ever owned. Couple years after 9/11, I got pulled over and DPS trooper literally said "making sure you are not a terrorist since you don't have a front license plate." This was when I was driving 350z and i just said 'I can't be a terrorist because this car is a stick. Terrorists can't drive stick." He wrote me up. I knew I was going to be screwed either way because I am a Korean and he was trying to imply I was a terrorist.

Just been told by my dealer that for the UK market you have to take delivery with the front plate mounting attached.

He said Toyota UK stated:

"As this is standard on the vehicle, we are unable to request that this not be fitted."

Looks like bumper holes for everyone! (in the UK)

Hello, so I stopped by the dealer here in the U.S. For those states that require a front plate Toyota dealership will be giving you this. I noted the that the plate can fit in the middle vent and be zip tied. But I don’t know how much it will affect the performance but can be a temporary placement till you figure it out.

Do not block the center vent. That is the main intake for the radiator.

that looks like have to be drilled on the front bumper. doesnt look like you can actually zip ties this to the bumper..

i told my NJ dealership not to install this kind of thing. i told them i will place the plate on the fake vents for now and zip ties them

Is anyone aware of laws/regulations around the types of places you can have in terms of color (e.g., would a black plate with red lettering be acceptable)? Just trying to figure out a way around having a white plate with blue numbering on a black LE.

Unsure of laws/regs in your state, but how about a smoked licence plate cover and frame. Just a thought.

Can anyone confirm that the Rear license plate holder uses 4 holes to mount? I want to get a custom plate frame & rather get a 4 hole if it accepts it. Thanks!
