I've gone with the Toyota Insurance for mine at £594 with 8 years no claims. I had other quotes from Direct Line £1200 with multi car who insure my Type-R, then was quoted £1500 by Adrian flux who insure my Impreza. I was told it being the A90 bumps up the premium quite a bit.

As for the number plate, I asked the dealer where they would mount it and they didn't know. There is no holes or other obvious mounting on the front as it is.

I'll be looking to get my detailing, ceramic coating and PPF done prior to delivery date as the place I looked at can collect the car on a trailer from the dealer and take it back.

Looks stunning! Was a little worried how the matte paint would look in typical British weather but every pic so far looks good!

On a slight downer though my dealer said today that the Supra registration system won't be going live until the 2nd of Sept so not sure what that will mean for actual delivery dates.

had a chat about PPF and Ceramic coating today

Average quote for PPF coming out as £1500 for front end and side skirts

+ Ceramic coating on top is an additional about £600 - but apparently can make the grey go darker

Paint Protection:
Does anyone have experience of using the following products:-
Gyeon Q²M Cure Matte or Gyeon Q² Matte Base Quartz range?
That’s what I’m getting on my car. Apparently doesn’t affect the look of the car and last 2-3 years using the maintenance spray every 3-4 weeks when washing

I've ordered that as well, the Q2M Cure Matte with the base ceramic too. When I'm doing my prep I'm thinking of making a thread for the matte paint prep and methods used which might be helpful for some others in future.

Doing a full wheels off prep with a lot of contactless methods since can't clay or polish, and using rust preventers as well.

Look forward to the thread.

Just wondering, seen as you both have GT86's, how many other members are keeping theirs in addition to Supra.

I'm planning to keep my GT86 alongside the Supra. Depends on how I feel longer term owning both whether or not I'll keep both. But having a more powerful and more comfortable sports car and a lighter manual gearbox one could be quite fun!

I've heard from someone working at Toyota who also owns an 86 that after driving the Supra for a week in Spain as part of the media drives and coming back home to the 86 he didn't wish he was back in the Supra and felt they complimented each other well.

I’m going to be selling my 86 as it’s now 6 years old, I’ve had it from new, love it but want a change can’t justify having 3 cars as also have a Jaguar E-Pace

Just went to see my car - i must admit i'm really dissapointed that we have no Plaque showing "x of x" and a signature from Toyoda on the dash like the US do.

I'd of thought with an exclusive car like the A90 edition we may have had a "1 of x" with carbon fibre. Instead it's just plastic with nothing.

Yeah that is disappointing... Apparently we will be getting some sort of certificate of authenticity for being in the first 300 deliveries but apparently that's it. I'm at my dealer now waiting to go see mine so I'll ask as well if they know any more about that.
