Yup, not to mention all the add ons is going to quickly raise that $60k price tag.

As it should it's the better car.

The 1LT trim of the C8 was a big letdown. Sure, it has some power and high top speed, but in terms of being a daily driver itā€™s very lacking. It doesnā€™t offer a lot of features that come standard (HUD, memory seats, heated seats, etc.) on modern cars at that price point. You really have to start with the 2LT ($67,000) if you want a C8 that isnā€™t a dinosaur in terms of technology. And then getting all of the nice features (front lifting system, etc.) are add-ons from there, many of which you can only get with the 2LT trim or above. As a result, a worthwhile C8 is going to be closer to $70~75k than it is $60k, making the difference in pricing between it and the A90 more like $15~20k.

Itā€™s interesting to me that a lot of folks are acting like these cars are the same price when the C8 costs at least 20% more than the Supra at their lowest price points (and closer to 50% more at their highest).

I think itā€™s only close when the Supra is marked up otherwise you are right.

I wish the Supra had remote start & run flats - the base C8 gets you that. That being said I still thing the base Supra is the better buy w/the blind spot option - I'm going to check out a white & yellow one today. Premiums - still checking out colors & waiting for the prices to be discounted - another several months - no hurry.

You honestly thought people didnt know once you start adding options to the c8 it wouldn't be significantly more than the z4upra? No kidding.

Its substantially more car. There are still morons paying over sticker for these badge engineered bmws.

As much as you want to believe it's badge engineered, it's not. German law strictly prohibits selling badge engineered cars, and will go after manufacturers who do so.

I haven't seen any lawsuits, have you?
They definitely toed the line that's undeniable. Your arrogance thinking I literally mean violated German law needs to get throttled back. Just making a point.

I was surprised myself at how many people thought that, but yeah...

Then again, I recently saw folks on that forum arguing with someone that profit and revenue are the same thing and nobody batting an eye at it so I guess Iā€™m not that surprised.

Not my argument to defend but based on your logic since I'm on "that forum" I must agree with everything said on it? Because on "this forum" they totally don't do that? right.

Again, like ive said I like the car, just not to buy. Maybe in 2 years when they are 30k I'll pick one up for a daily driver. I've helped 2 people now in purchasing them, I've sat in them, driven them. But yet I'm not welcome here by some to voice my discontent. Interesting group of free thinkers you all have here.

yes, I literally have. I'm sorry I'm a hardcore toyota fan to the bone that cannot blindly love this car. But we can still talk and be friends. Do you think I didn't want this car to be an amazing piece of engineering that toyota developed or something? I was first in line to sing its praises if it was deserving of them. A couple ecu flashes, dyno numbers, doesn't change what the car ultimately is (or isn't)

The amazing piece of engineering that Toyota developed exists, but you have to win the lottery first

What is your definition of better? Both cars will have their + and -. Sure the C8 is quicker and has a nicer looking interior, but let's not over look GM's past history on quality, or lack of.
