My Mk7 GTI has a DCT, or DSG as VW calls it, and it's perfect. You're talking about a single clutch. Dual clutches are excellent in all traffic situations. The technology has reached a stage now where it feels no different than an automatic in regular traffic, but with instant shifts. I'm sure the C8 will drive just fine as a daily.
The Audi has a dual clutch setup, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same BorgWarner-derived unit VW uses, but I haven't ever looked up the details. All DCTs have low speed awkwardness in my experience, some worse than others.

Thats not always true, a common complaint on many many DCTs is bucking and jerking in daily driving.

this guy was shaming on supra from day 1..saying the limited edition is not worth the money etc.. dude i get it you only buy high end cars for rental purposes, so why the f did he even buy the supra knowing it will not be good source of income..LMAO..he really bought the youtube trollers' comment for renting the supra..

that shit is really funny. now he is bitter as f
Yeah, his video of him buying the car and driving back from Vermont was pretty funny - he clearly didn't know anything about the car. He's a businessman who has a business model that's worked with certain cars. I can see why someone would pay a few hundred dollars to rent a $150,000 car for a day - that's not something that most people could afford. But why would someone pay almost $400 to rent a $57,000 car for a day? If they've got that kind of money, they could probably just buy it. Not to mention the fact that the Supra is a car that people probably want to tune, mod, etc., not just buy and drive it stock. He clearly didn't understand the market he was buying into on this one.

Yeah I think he really thought this Supra was going to be hard to get, although not so much in the NYC NJ where his business is in. There are plenty of Supras for sale at MSRP. And even then he out priced the Supra rental on top of that too.

Just remember what the mkiv was when it was in production. With electric/hybrids in the near future and a possible recession in front of us. These last few years of enthusiast cars may repeat history.

Only time will tell. Personally, I will walk to work before I buy and drive an electric car. There is something about the sound, feel, and even smell of a combustion engine powered vehicle that all add up to a great driving pleasure. Things that an electric car will never be able to replicate. Look what happened with the electric steering movement versus the hydraulic steering....alot of unhappy drivers.

How about drive by wire brakes in the c8? Can't feel brake fade or abs. Wtf
Wow, didnā€™t know this was actually in production lol. Drive by wire brakes???....honestly had no idea. I still like the C8 because it is a V8 and still looks and has the presence of a Vette. Sucks that all this digital gadgetry is taking over the things that use to make sports cars enjoyable.

Ya man google it. Pretty strange. I'd be nervous if they could get that right for track use

I doubt Chevy would replace one of their most successful sports car with a failure, check out the ss 1le weight and its laptimes. It is matching/besting/ or not far behind a 981 gt4 which is about 800lbs less?

More the feel for me. I can feel the bigger car in the corners.
