1. I also have the rain coating and my wipers shudder. Does anyone without coating have the same issue? I'm wondering if there is too much friction now and it may wear out the wiper motor?

Other things.....

2. Not being able to turn off the automatic engine off at stop lights when in comfort mode is annoying
3. If you open both doors on the LE and look from behind, the passenger side doesn't have the red leather on the doors. WTF?
4. Wireless charging isn't easy access, especially with a USB plugged in (work phone doesn't have wireless charging so I'm often charging both at the same time). Also my phone gets pretty hot with wireless charging
5. Would prefer a center storage counsel. When I have coffee in the cup holders it interferes with my natural elbow position for using the infotainment!
Use the button above the sport button to turn off auto start/stop in comfort mode. You'll have to do this at the beginning of every trip as it doesn't get remembered, but it will disable it for the duration of your trip.

Red leather on driver's side only is normal and they way they designed it to emphasize driver focus. I'd prefer it to be symmetric but they did it that way on purpose.

^^^ Strange BMWs remember last setting of Auto start/stop Button for every start.
Only some older BMW models do. My 2018 F32 and 2017 F36 did. My 2019 G01 and most new BMW models since ~ mid 2019 do not remember the setting. It can be overridden with coding of course.

Someone told me that the change was based on government regulations but I never looked into that to verify. I have heard of other brands where the behavior changed in 2019 too, so it may be true.

I bet this is a coding issue. If recall, before it was enabled by default, the 2015ish BMWs could be coded to "remember last setting" for the auto stop/start.

I would assume that can be coded back in on the Supra.

EDIT: Looks like I failed to refresh the page before replying!

I'd be willing to bet there is some EU law requiring it to reset each time to reduce pollution etc in urban areas.

I believe you can in individual options. I haven't done this for stop-start as I'm using Sport mode all the time, but I did change the behavior of lane departure. Every time I turn the car on, lane departure is automatically disabled.

Black launch model doesn’t get the red drivers focus. Black on both sides.
Not sure why red interior is this way

Black and white LE cars get the asymmetric red interior. Red LE cars have a full black interior.
Meant to say red launch doesn’t get red interior

You can turn off the auto engine off if you press the button on top of the "sports" it has a letter "A" on it which disables it
