I have a couple of queries if anyone can help. 1) What are the terms regarding changing your mind post $4k deposit. 2) If you went with your second choice color and then someone cancels with your first choice color, do the actively contact people or does that vehicle go back into the 'pool'. 3) What happens to vehicles when people pull out?

1) You can cancel any time prior to delivery and get your full $5000 back. They had conflicting T&Cs on their website, so I queried, to which they confirmed - any time prior to delivery.
2) Vehicle goes back into pool.
3) Depends at what stage the owner pulls out. If the vehicle is at the dealer, the dealer will then have that model as stocked. If prior to then - I don't know.

:)

A little more info.

If you cancel your order, it goes back to Toyota HQ. They won't be dealer stock.

Wholesale will release cars to the public on the 4th September...

My dealer just had just received info from head office that morning - confirmed from another guy in Melbourne. We're both in first round, so unsure what effect that has.

It seems like for the EU and US markets, alcantara comes as standard and leather is the optional upgrade; whereas, for AUS leather is standard and alcantara is the optional upgrade.

Maybe Toyota Australia thought we would value the alcantara more because of its perceived “raciness” or maybe they wanted to even out the amount of leather seats and alcantara seats leaving the factory from Austria to ensure adequate supply.

Either way, having leather as standard in Australia is a huge win in my book.
Where did you see that?

I tried the configurator for USA and UK and neither gave interior options aside from "black leather".

I'd be annoyed if I paid an extra 4k For soemthing that is the lower optjom elsewhere..

I’m still waiting for my news on the dates, so seems to be Sept sometime?! :)

You guys think many will be trying to resale to make a quick buck? Or given the economy, car sales figures and other factors they won’t likely get anything above what they pay for?

Hi all,

Have had the finger on the trigger to order a supra the past few order windows however a lack clear information on the differences between the two grades (GT / GTS) is holding me back. Is there any more information out there on what the actually differences are?

For an extra 10K i can only identify the following from the limited information available. I cant really see the value to be honest.

GTS additions / upgrades over a GT:

Wheels to forged 19" and relevant spec tires.
Rear brake disc to 345mm from 330mm.
Brake calipers painted red.
Audio upgraded from 10 speaker (205W) to 12 Speaker (425W) system
Added head up display.

Free optional Red Leather interior
Add $2500 for Alcantara accented seats ( base model seats in some regions)
Add $2500 for Matte Grey.

Does anyone have any other information on the differences ?? I'm thinking probably something like the minor things I can see on the JDM site such as pedals and interior trim on the center console etc might be different.

I don't understand the Alcantara seats. Seems like its base model equipment in other markets and a premium option here.

Toyota really need to get better info on the website as to what the actual spec of different models and any other factory options there are (if any)

are you first or second round?
First round

When are second round getting theres?

And third round would that be over and above the initial 300? I think it may be any excess they get from cancellations or factory!

I also think it has the wireless charger... but also was torn between a GT or GTS
I think the GT wheels look terrible and are only 18”... i think a mitsubishi has a similar design haha
So a good 4-5k for new wheels at least
