So is there a crease on the hood? I thought I read that Xpel does not have sheets large enough to cover the hood in one piece....?

If so, can you take some close up photos of it?

Looks great BTW.

We aren't done, it is getting custom livery, no seam on hood will be visible. On bumper around emblem, the precut has a seam along that U shape around emblem. So far I am only one who has done it 1 PC that I know of.

Normally we wouldnt do a seam in this direction unless there is a stripe to hide it then you wont see a stripe whatsever. Generally you should put a seam at the top near the doors. 4" - 6" piece on both edges. Tomorrow it should have all the livery and the rest of ppf done.

1 step away you wont see a seam, only if you are within 30cm of it. The seam is visible in the picture :) try to find it. Its TINY lol

It's all about the curve on the Supra. The matte brings out all the beautiful lines on the car. Toyota did an amazing job! What a work of art!

Did you all apply just clear Xpel to the headlights? From the picture above they and the Toyota symbol on the front almost look a little blacked out but it may just be the lighting.

It really looks great. Even glossy that color does a good job showing lines, but in matte it really pops. And that is opposite of what most people would think.

Beautiful work!

We have a seat dedicated for @RRKnight that when he comes he just sits behind the car and admires it for hours ahhahahaha

Last night it got quiet a bit done. Today I am finishing up and the livery and start the next step IGL Coating.

Getting doorhandles off we can make a movie out of it, how much of a hastle it started with. Even Toyota didnt know how and was afraid. Had to get a tech from Porsche / Mclaren bodyshop to come and do it. At the end of the day, if you ever decide to sell it, the price of it only skyrocketed. It will look brand new in 10 years + time

Why did you have to take the door handles off? To wrap them properly...?

No seam under door handle and to wrap door handles with ppf (which is near impossible) still have to touch it up

Oh wow - yeah, if you could share the video of how you had those taken off that would be great / extremely informative. Glad that I booked my matte-ing a bit later so that I can see how you all did some of this stuff first. ;-)

Entire door panel has to come off. The screw behind the doorhandle inside the car, Toyota didnt put them in properly. You have to feed your hand underneath and inside to hold a bolt and unscrew it.

I had a tech from Porsche /McLaren come, a buddy of mine (he said the doors are similar setup as a 911) if you have someone remove it. Toyota was afraid and not trained yet LOL
