I live in Texas and I have been pulled over with every cars I have ever owned. Couple years after 9/11, I got pulled over and DPS trooper literally said "making sure you are not a terrorist since you don't have a front license plate." This was when I was driving 350z and i just said 'I can't be a terrorist because this car is a stick. Terrorists can't drive stick." He wrote me up. I knew I was going to be screwed either way because I am a Korean and he was trying to imply I was a terrorist.

I live in Texas and have owned 2 cars both without a front license plate for the last 8 years and never once have I gotten pulled over for no front plates.

08 Acura TL
11 G37S Sedan.

My brother has a 09 Camry and has owned that car for 10 years and never once got pulled over for no front plates.

UK Here. Just ordered SU07PRA as the plate for my car.

FYI UK buyers, currently DVLA shows SU03PRA -> SU08PRA are available. £499.

Would putting a plate in the middle portion of the grill not block off air inflow into the MKV, though? I feel like that would look the best, but I thought that was one of the only working vents on it unless you start opening up some of the blocked-off vents.

I agree, I would not want to do it personally. But some people have run the car this way for a while and haven't reported problems. Whether or not there is a performance hit (say from less than optimal intercooler or oil cooler flow) is unknown.

They have the radiators (more than one), intercooler, oil cooler, trans cooler, and AC condenser all competing for airflow up there, so I think it takes some caution when blocking off any grill area.

yes but this relocator kit is extended to the front doesnt compeltely cover the grill and in fact if you drive enough air still coming flowing thru the grill

It won't block flow but it will certainly impede it and distort it at high speed. At low speed it won't matter at all.

I don't know what the Supra's cooling requirements are like at high speed versus low speed to say if it matters enough to be a concern. Some cars have the most challenging cooling issues at low speed.

Would you mind posting pics of what it looks like when attached to the car (for a US car reference)? m(_ _)m
I'm not with the car right now, still at the dealer but I can maybe ask the salesman to try and hook it up, otherwise will be just when I pick it up hopefully on the 2nd.

The OCD side of me wants to find a way to keep the front plate in the middle of the car... having it to one side would probably trigger me. Not sure what to do.

:what:
