I plan on modding mine and instead starting a bunch of threads I will just post here.

So the dealer sent me the CF caps as promised ( I ran the numbers, with the 500 dollar Visa card they sent I ended up getting 4700 off MSRP for their fiasco of leadership, so I am delighted.

The CF took more time to unbox than to install. Basically pop off the old and pop on the new. I think the OEM black look really cheap. I am happy with these and to be honest I would have bought them anyway but prefer how I got them :)

I also had it ceramic tinted. Imagine my surprise when one of the guys who works there picked this up last night and he got it for MSRP from a California dealer, well done!

As soon as the reflectors arrive I will send them to get sanded and painted. I am trying to have my friend who works for Goggle Japan get me the puddle lights and floor mats. When I learn more, you guys learn more.

I was quoted $1,299 for the CF mirror caps. When I sent them a screenshot of Toyotaā€™s homepage and asked why it was almost $400 more than MSRP for the caps, they said it was for the installation fee. I said no thanks just sell me the caps and Iā€™ll install; they agreed, but tried scaring me into having them do it by stating that installing them requires taking apart the mirror assembly and they donā€™t recommend that customers do it. I donā€™t think that they realize that people who buy Supras are generally not the same people who go in to buy a Corolla...

When I added the smoked out turn signal with active signal on my RS3 I had to take apart the mirror and that still only took 15 minutes per side, dealers SMH.

CF mirrors arriving today to replace red LE's. Any more tips to "pop off" oems? What kind of tool, where to insert, etc.? Just want to make sure I don't scratch anything. Looking forward to getting them on and thanks for any more info.

If someone whoā€™s already taken theirs off could do a quick video tutorial or something that would be awesome. If the CF mirror caps are like any of the TRD parts, theyā€™ll come with instructions on how to install them, but I havenā€™t found anything online yet that shows how the mirror caps just snap off/on.

Edit: @Trojan1992 - Was the removal / installation of the mirror caps basically like it was done it this video?

The guy in that video mentions that the OEM CF mirror caps have screws instead of clips which requires more than simply just snapping them on. Was that not the case with the OEM Supra CF side mirror caps?

Ok, guys its really easy but I know people tend to be a bit afraid with their new car.

You use the plastic pry tool most audio guys use to take off door panels etc. You start where the mirror is closest to the car and just slide the tool under, it took like 2 seconds for it to slide off. Then you just put the CF back on ( only way) and push till it snaps.

This is the easiest mod ever, don't worry, nothing will break.

Here are the part numbers for the reflectors that were asked for.

Spacers arrived today, 10 & 13mm. I really do not like the finish on the brake calipers, looks very poor. Going to have to rectify this soon.

Could you share how it looks with the spacers? Does it sit more flush to the fenders now? And I have been searching the forum for the proper jacking points of the car and no luck. Could you share if you don't mind? And do we need jack pads?

Sorry for bombarding you with all the questions

Hi

I will post pictures soon but here is a quick one.

Jack pad is not needed, look carefully at your side splitters, you will see a inverted triangle painting at the jack location, about 6 inches in the jack point is clearly defined by a square area that is already padded for a jack.

Hope that helped.

Oh, I did 10/13mm, I could have done 12/15mm but played it safe.

Oh wow that looks great!! Would love to see more pictures when you get to posting them. I will have to take a look at the jacking points this weekend. I want to take off my wheels to ceramic coat them

Did you order different reflectors than stock? What's different about them?

Iā€™ve mentioned this elsewhere on the site, but the OEM Supra projection courtesy lamps arenā€™t out yet. Neither are floor mats (other than the GR luggage mat for the trunk area). This is based on calling around to various dealers in Japan and having them check their system for the part number (and confirmed by Toyota Kyohan). Iā€™ll let you all know if I hear anything further as Iā€™ve been following up with them every once and a while on this but I last checked in on this last night and the puddle lamps were still TBD (even though Toyota Japanā€™s website still states ā€œto be released in Augustā€).
