Precollision Detection and Springs

Interestingly, my dealer told me they weren’t allowed to install springs for Toyota vehicles that alter ride height due to the precollision detection system. Anyone ever heard of this? What’s the reasoning?

The system depends on the sensor and the camera heights among other parameters. Altering these parameters result in a different outcome of the system. There is the same warning for installing a TRD Pro grille on a non-TRD Pro Tacoma.
